The Reverse Villain

In a world cloaked in darkness and rife with malevolence, a singular figure emerged to pierce the shroud with a glimmer of hope. From the abyss, he rose as the beacon of light, bearing a title that would echo through eternity. In his wake, others rallied, forming a formidable league to combat the forces of evil that sought to choke the world in shadows. A decade long battle ensued, a clash between the righteous and the wicked, marked by sacrifices on both sides. Amid the ashes of conflict, a fragile peace was woven, and salvation seemed to reign. Yet, time's passage bore witness to a sinister transformation. Once-championed saviors turned power-hungry, wielding their abilities for self-serving ends, heedless of the destruction they wrought. Their malevolent acts remained veiled, concealed beneath the image of the Heroes they were once hailed to be. A cruel veil of secrecy shrouded their true nature, and any who stumbled upon their nefarious deeds were swiftly silenced, their lives extinguished to safeguard the Heroes' facade. Thus, the very evils vanquished by the initial Hero's sacrifice resurfaced, sown by the hands they believed would protect. Nine hundred years have elapsed, and the legacy for which heroes tirelessly battled to preserve has crumbled into ruin. The heroes themselves, once beacons of virtue, have succumbed to corruption, wielding their influence to perpetrate crimes and evade justice. Meanwhile, the very villains previously condemned for their malevolence now emerge as saviors, thwarting the nefarious deeds propagated by these fallen heroes. This novel delves into the obscured shadows of heroes, revealing their darker facets concealed from the public eye. It unearths the villains who counteract the malevolent actions of these heroes, yet find themselves vilified by media portrayal. It's important to bear in mind that amidst this intricate dance, not all heroes are evil, and not all villains are good. P.S - I update 5-7 times per week

Memories (Sarah's Past)

...Alarm ringing...

A young girl yawns as she hits the alarm button to stop it from ringing, then glances at her wall clock hanging on the wall.

"Oh no, I'm going to be late for school," the girl exclaims as she quickly gets out of bed.

"Sarah, aren't you awake yet? You're going to be late for school," a female voice echoes from the background.

"Sorry, Mom. I stayed up late last night," Sarah replies.

"What are we going to do with you? I always tell you to sleep early and stop playing video games at night."

"Honey, just let our little girl have some fun," a male voice chimes in from the background.

"Thanks, Dad. I love you," Sarah says with a smile.

...bzzzzzz...

Sarah looks at her phone and sees a notification from one of her friends. She smiles and opens her phone to read the message.

"Don't be late to school today too, Sleeping Sarah 😴😄" her friend's message reads.

Sarah replies with an angry emoji mixed with a smile emoji.

She then puts her phone down and heads to the bathroom to brush her teeth and take a shower.

A few minutes later, Sarah emerges from her room wearing her uniform, rushing to the dining hall for breakfast.

"Sarah, slow down so you won't get hurt," Mom advises.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'm not a little child anymore; I'm a grown lady," Sarah retorts, pouting.

"Darling, don't tease Sarah," Dad adds, laughing.

"Dad..." Sarah says, looking annoyed and on the verge of tears.

"Sorry, dear. Finish your breakfast. I'll take you to school."

"Okay, Dad," Sarah replies, quickly finishing her food.

After a few minutes, Sarah finishes her breakfast.

"Mom, I'm done. I'm off to school now," she says.

"Take care, dear," Mom says.

"I love you, Mom," Sarah says.

"I love you too, my baby girl," Mom replies.

"Let's go, Dad. I'm ready," Sarah says, eager to head to school.

"Sure thing, baby girl. Get in the car," Dad replies.

Sarah gets into the car, her dad helps her with her seatbelt, starts the engine, and they set off for school.

A blue car arrives at the school gate, and a young girl with orange hair steps out.

"Goodbye, Dad. Love you," Sarah waves.

Dad waves back and drives away.

Sarah turns toward the school gate and heads to her classroom. Just as she's about to enter the corridor, a loud voice calls out, "Sarah Walter, always a latecomer!"

Sarah turns toward the PE teacher, nervous, trying to think of an excuse.

"I have a good explanation this time," Sarah stammers.

"What new excuses are you cooking up now?" the PE teacher sighs.

"No, really, I have a valid reason this time," Sarah insists.

"I'm tired of this. Get to your classroom," the PE teacher says wearily.

Sarah rushes off and reaches her classroom door. She takes a deep breath before entering.

The class falls silent as everyone looks at her, waiting for the homeroom teacher's reaction.

"Sarah, you're always late. Any good reason this time?" the homeroom teacher asks.

"Yes, Miss. I have a legitimate reason," Sarah responds.

"Let me guess, another late-night gaming session?" the teacher suggests.

"How does she always know?" Sarah thinks to herself.

"I'm right, aren't I? Go to your seat and catch up with your classmates," the teacher says.

"Thanks, Miss," Sarah mumbles, heading to her seat.

"Psst, you got caught again," Sarah's best friend Sonia teases.

"No, she let me off this time," Sarah defends herself.

"You're a regular latecomer," Sonia taunts, smirking.

"You're such a bully," Sarah jokes, pretending to be mad.

"I'm sorry, Sarah. I didn't mean it," Sonia apologizes.

"I got you! You always fall for that," Sarah grins.

Sonia playfully hits Sarah on the shoulder, and they both laugh.

Their laughter is interrupted when Sonia notices something flying through the sky outside the window.

"Is that a shooting star?" Sonia wonders aloud.

"Shooting stars don't appear in the morning," Sarah responds.

"I don't believe you," Sonia challenges, calling the teacher over and pointing at the sky.

The teacher walked toward Sonia to look at what she is calling a shooting star, she stared toward the window and saw something flying in the sky and said " It's impossible " Before she finished her statement, the direction of the claimed shooting star seems to head toward the direction of the school.

"Everybody run away from the class," said the teacher, before she was able to finish what she was saying, the shooting star had already crashed into the school...

------

Ambulance sirens blare as chaos ensues. Sarah regains consciousness to find herself surrounded by fire and debris.

Sarah just recovering from her unconscious state saw fire and debris from the destroyed school everywhere.

"We have a survivor here. Let's get her out," a firefighter orders.

As they pull her from the wreckage, Sarah faints again.

...

Sarah awakens in a hospital room, confused and worried about her friends and parents.

"Where are they? Are they okay?" Sarah asks a nurse who brings her food.

"Don't worry, they're all fine," the nurse reassures her.

Unbeknownst to Sarah, her friends and parents didn't survive the school tragedy or the accident rushing to her side.

...

Five years later, at 18, Sarah finally learns the truth about the loss of everyone she cared for. Tears stream down her face.

...

A loud noise jerks Sarah awake from her troubling dream.

"I hate reliving the past. It's just painful memories," Sarah mutters through tears.

...

Another sound startles Sarah, and she realizes it's coming from her classroom. She rushes to investigate, leaving the staff office behind.
