6 Revered Magus Chapter 6 – Mass Murder
'Alas, the drama Begins' Rio thought while glancing at his stats. About 30 minutes later, as expected, Rio heard a servant shout for help followed by several footsteps, before an even bigger commotion started.
The Head Butler arrived as it was his responsibility everything regarding the servants stayed operational
"Alright, Alright, move aside. What is causing such a commotion" he said grumpily as he was just about to round up and go to his comfy bed.
"Head butler," the servants said and bowed in unison still with a panicked faces. One of the servants walked up to the Head butler and explained what happened as he was leading him to the scene of the crime.
'Hmm it seems he was poisoned from the way there is no marking on his body and a ting of purple was shown on his neck area. The Vecada Leave?' He deduced as there were purplish spots on his neck. There were many poisons that could create such a symptom however this was a poison that was easily accessible from the garden of the Manor.
Nobody would go to a major extent just to kill a servant so he deduces the culprit was in this house and someone who can easily go to the garden. 'Wasn't this the servant that supposedly harassed the maid' as he thought of this, he saw a small white corner by the dead body's side.
As he carefully maneuvered the body to get the paper, he realized it was a note. 'I'm sorry for blowing the situation out of proportion. Here's my apology. "So, it was indeed the maid, who knew she was cold-hearted enough to kill a person over such a small matter" he muttered, however, it did not escape the servant's ears.
He then proceeded to order a servant to beckon the maid that the servant had an issue. A servant bowed and rushed to complete his order. 5 minutes later and the maid arrived with a confused look.
'What does this old guy want' she was thinking before she arrived. She thought of many possibilities and tried to find ideas in the constant scenarios played out but none reached a conclusive answer until she arrived and saw around 30 servants glaring at her.
She was nervous, I mean who would be under the cold and disdained gazes of 30 people? She mustered up the courage and spoke "what do you need head butler, as you should know I'm not under your command for you to call me at this time of the night" she said while trying to look as confident as possible but could stop from shaking slightly.
"It seems you're trying to play it off by acting confident, however, your shivering body betrays you," he said as he scrutinized her along with the other servants.
"Who is making all this noise in the middle of the night, don't you know residence are trying to have their beauty sleep" a young man around the age of 6 with glossy black hair and alluring purple eyes came. Naturally, it was Rio pretending to seem he just woke up due to the disturbance.
Everyone bowed when they saw Rio, Although they didn't see him in high regard, they still had to follow protocol so the count doesn't hear about it and kicked them out of the manor.
Even if Rio isn't favored the fact that I was a pure-bred noble was inevitably true and legitimacy was heavily relied on when it came to nobles and Royalty.
The Head butler straightened his back and replied "Young Master Rio, I came when I heard the commotion and saw a dead body after analyzing and searching the crime scene, I obtained this note, and I believe it was for this maid. Which made me think it was her who poisoned this servant." He explained in a tone as if he was superior to Rio'
'Oh, look at the lowly servant go, I knew when to pick my time and place, maybe he would even be next on my hitlist' I snickered internally.
"I don't care about what happened just sort it out quickly and make sure not to disturb father, he can get really irritable when woken up for trivial reasons like this" Rio said using his father as a weapon, although they knew father didn't like him, It was true that if the count woke up to this, they couldn't handle the consequences
After seeing the worried faces of everyone, Rio fake yawned and turned around to walk back to his room.
A couple of months passed and 2 dozen people died due to an 'unknown reason' that even picked up the attention of the father. He wasn't interested in a futile matter like this so he went and passed it to Evelyn (Sylvester's mum). 'Status' Rio thought

After seeing the results of his work, Rio didn't regret it one bit, in the end, goal of power, these little slaves were nothing but ants in his eyes.
'I now have 11 points to add to my stats.' Rio thought. 'System put 4.4 into strength, 4.5 into agility, and 2 into endurance.

I felt a constriction in my body far worse than before, after a few seconds it calmed down. Rio observed me and felt around.
'I feel...AMAZING.' Rio felt like he could probably lift up the largest bolder in his previous life with one hand. Rio happily tested the changes around his body before telling the system to bring up his stats.

It was around midnight when Rio put on a mask and left the house and started venturing into the marketplace. His goal on this trip was to find martial arts and find out about spirit stones. The black market is probably the best place to get the most needed martial arts. As Rio was walking through the quiet market street and saw someone that looked like a lookout. 'System analyze' Rio thought trying to gauge his skills.

Rio didn't see him as a threat, then approached him and spoke "Hey, you look like someone who knows where I can find good martial arts books" Rio said while bringing out a small bag of coins.
Without a carrot, a donkey would not move.
The person eyed the bag and then looked at him.
"Follow me," he said those simple words after looking if I came with anybody. He then led him to a sketchy alleyway, turned around, and brought out a dagger. "Drop all your valuables and I can let you leave with your puny life," he said to Rio with a smile.
He must've judged since Rio was a kid, he was easy prey. It was just that he judged incorrectly, Rio had free EXP in front of him and this time he provoked him, so Rio wasn't going to hold back
"Sigh, people like you are truly unlucky disposable extras" Rio instantly closed into him giving an uppercut to the stomach, making him keel over.
"I'll ask again" while Rio's left hand held his forearm and Rio's right hand held his index finger slightly bending it as if he was going to break it.
"I know people like you know an underground merchant that sells various things, don't make things difficult and tell me where It is," Rio said before pulling his index finger all the way leaving a nice crisp sound of bones moving out of place.
