Since Rio had enough money to buy practically anything, he might as well stay for the auction and see if there's anything else that may catch his eyes

The Auction moved forward with interesting items but useless to Rio, so he didn't bother wasting money even if he had a lot

After several hours passed with people from the bottom stage to the people in the private room bidding, most items were sold

As time passed, the bids kept going higher then eventually

Since there was nothing here left Rio walked out, he would've liked to get the Elemental Core, if he could nourish both his roots to Superior grade that would make his cultivation life so much bliss

Rio didn't really care because he seemed to have something even better as he started to remember the Amulet he obtained, Rio was sure there was more than what it seemed

After an hour's journey and finally reaching his manor, Rio went to go take a relaxing bath, this melted all the stress away that was caused by some things/people at the auction

'If the Shred of consciousness managed to infiltrate my body I doubt that I would be able to do anything about it, I am not even able to access my consciousness until I reach the Magus realm, not to talk of defending against it. If I left someone to try it and they gain benefits that were supposed to be mine, that would be a waste' As Rio was thinking of ways forward with this Amulet he decided to decide later when he was stronger

There are three years left until the competition and they bring in heaven-defying talents from what I hear from people, even our Academy was rated average amongst all of them

The gap of the needed mana to rank up has grown once again, however, due to my ranking up I can also hint higher ranked monsters providing me with EXP

So people usually train their reaction time to as much as they can use various means, such as reaction training and some even go and put their lives in danger trying to hone their reaction senses

Rio didn't think he needed such things…at least not yet, as long as he remains in a safe place, it is guaranteed for him to get stronger, especially with this golden finger of his, however, the effectiveness has gone down tremendously since the EXP gained has really been tremendous making Rio spend one year breaking through from 4th Rank Mage to 1st Rank Mage Master

But Rio understood that breaking through this stage would take people a long time, sometimes decades if their talent wasn't good enough
