Chapter 33 - Transformation (Part 1)

Rouxi and Hua had really hit it off. Hua was quieter while Rouxi was talking up a storm. For the first time, Hua felt that she could finally have someone she could call a friend.

Both girls had already exchanged phone numbers. Rouxi even got Hua to make a social media profile on Wubo. Sheng, Liam, and Jian were talking about work when Sheng's eye caught a look at Hua's slippers. They were old and the colour had faded away from blue to grey.

He immediately realized that he neglected this point and hadn't taken Hua shopping for new clothes or school supplies.

"Little Hua, be ready early tomorrow. We're going to go shopping."

"Oh, sure Brother Sheng. You need to buy something."

"No, for you. You need school supplies."

"I was thinking about going to the General Marketplace. I can grab everything I need there. Maybe a barber too. I've never cut my hair before and it's gotten too long."
