The Zhen Family

City A was known to have a few influential families who could really shake the economy of the nation. Top among them is the Zhen family. Known to be a family of upright people, the Zhens were a popular family in City A. It would be no surprise to go out and stumble on one business or the other established by the family.

Grandpa Zhen retired after sixty years in action, leaving the business to his eldest son, Derek. If Grandpa Zhen was a monster, then Derek was a monster among monsters. He directly led the Zhen enterprise into battle with the bigwigs and fought until his family firmly occupied a spot among the top of the top. Now no one in City A could mention the Zhen family without trembling. Each of them were like an immortal. But the biggest immortal amongst them all was the only daughter of the family, Sara.

Born after her mother had already given up hope on having a daughter, Sara was immensely doted on. It was said that there was nothing she wanted that her parents didn't get her. Even her brothers too were sister slaves and always did her biding. Under their pampering, Sara grew up proud, arrogant and rude. She was the kind of proud that made you feel the urge to hit her at every moment. But who asked her to be the daughter of such a good family? As such, everyone had to swallow their dissatisfaction and fawn on her.

Because of her bad attitude, Sara had very few friends. So when a timid, fragile girl came up to her to be her friend, Sara was very willing. Of course, it was more like a follower. Tara would follow Sara everywhere, running little errands for her and the likes. She was so amicable, even when Sara scolded her that even Derek and his wife Anna felt bad for the girl. As such they frequently invited her to their house. It didn't take long before Tara won over Sara's parents with her charm. Even Sara's three brothers too fell in love with Tara's rabbit like personality and treated her like their sister.

That was when it began to happen. Tara would drop hints that Sara did this or that, making Sara look bad before her parents eyes. Sara was naturally unwilling to bear those accusations and would attack Tara, fighting until her parents came to separate them. For an orphan like Tara, it was easy to win the sympathy of others and coupled with Sara's previous records, everybody believed she was being bullied.

Sara sighed as she looked at her Host. Such a pitiful kid.

"I say, why don't you just kill that girl and get it over with?" She whispered.

The host shook her head. "It's wrong to kill."

Sara rolled her eyes. "And they call you a villain? Jokes on them."

There was a knock on the door. "Young miss?" A maid poked her head in. "The master is back."

Sara watched as the Host ran downstairs in a rush. Shaking her head in disdain, she followed after her quickly.

"Mum, dad!" The Host stepped into the living room and came to a stop when she saw her parents chatting with Tara on the sofa and holding her hands at both sides. Upon seeing the Host, the other girl quickly let go of the elders' hand and retreated to the side. She even did the whole bowing of head thing with the trembling hands, causing Sara to clap excitedly. Good girl! White lotus!

"Sara." Her dad smiled happily. "Come here! We have good news for you!"

"What?" The Host stood where she was defiantly causing her father's face to tighten.

"Derek, let me speak." Anna intervened. She stood up and approached the Host. Gently, holding her face in her hands, she spoke to her. "Sara, after the...incident that day, your father and I sent Tara to the hospital. When we got there, we found out she needed a blood transfusion. Your father tested and discovered they both shared the same blood type. After the donation, we on a whim decided to do a test... and we discovered that Tara is also our daughter! She's your sister!"

"Sister?" The Host repeated.

Sara frowned. Something was wrong. She could feel the Host's emotions fluctuating and her soul was pulled into the body before she could even resist. This had been happening more frequently as the Host was pressured by her family's negligence. Sara could only sigh and watch through the eyes of the Host.

"How can she be my sister?"

"Remember mummy gave birth to twins back then but the doctor said one died? We discovered that she didn't die! It was actually just a plan by our enemies to separate us from our babies!" Anna began sobbing and Derek came forward to hold his wife. He looked at his eldest daughter's blank face with a frown.

"Tara is your sister now so you have to stop all those your senseless jealous meandering." He instructed.

"Sister? Sister? How can my sister be THIS WITCH!" The Host suddenly roared and jumped at Tara. Stunned, the other girl was pushed to the floor.

"Go girl! Hit her harder! No, go for the spot beneath her ribs! Yes, hit the middle of her chest! No, slightly below her jaw!" Sara saw violence and happily instructed the Host. Blinded by rage, the Host followed her directions and hit Tara repeatedly until blood poured from her mouth.

"Sara!" Anna cried. "Stop!"

The Host paused.

"Don't stop." Sara urged her. "Why should you? Why listen to them? When that white lotus framed you, did they listen to you? She claimed she was weak and fainted on your 17th birthday, ruining it for you. She said you broke your father's treasured painting of his mother, the only thing he has left of her and he believed her. She told your mother you posioned her little pet dog and your mother cried for a whole day without listening to you. Tell me, why should you listen to them?! She has taken everything away from you. No one loves you. Everybody on the streets thinks you're a joke. Furthermore..." Sara grinned maliciously, "I saw your precious fiance kissing her last night. And you know what? Your parents know all about it!"

The Host screamed. She turned to her parents with red rimmed eyes. "Did you see Tara kiss Lu Chen?" She prayed with all her heart her parents would say no. The would prove that voice in her head wrong...

Her parents were obviously shocked. Anna tried to hide her guilt but it was blatantly displayed in her face. "We..."

"Mum! You let this witch snatch my boyfriend! This sl*t! This wh*re!"

Slap.

The Host looked at her father in shock.

Derek glared at his daughter. "I will not allow you insult your younger sister like that!"

"Insult? Did she not kiss him? Who knows what else she has done to seduce him?"

"Lu Chen said he wasn't interested in you!" Her father said quietly. "He said he despises being with you and would rather not marry than continue his engagement with you. He asked to break it off. Why should I let my daughter be with a man that despises her?"

"And yet you let her have him?" Tears fell from the Host's eyes. "The same man I spent 17 years with?"

"He loved her. Why should she be denied of his love just because you couldn't get it?"

Bang. Heart wrenching pain hit the host so tightly that even Sara felt it. She felt discomforted and shot a glare at Derek. What she didn't know was that her soul had taken control at that moment, causing Derek to tremble when he was met with such cold eyes filled with hatred.

The Host took a deep breath and Sara relaxed. She continued her instigation. "See? No one loves you. You're useless, abandoned, worthless and a waste. Why not let me take over and help you finish them off?" She was met with strong resistance that caused her soul to shake. "Fine fine. But let's finish this girl, shall we?"

The Host hesitated, then nodded and strode over to where Tara was on the floor. She pulled her up with one hand and rushed to the stairs.

"Sara! Oh no, Sara! Stop!!!" Anna screamed.

Derek alerted the guards as everyone rushed after the Host.

Sara laughed evilly as she watched the host pull the white lotus to the stairs. What she loved was chaos! Chaos!

The host stood at the top of the stairs with Tara trembling next to her.

"Stop. Please don't do it." Anna begged. They could guess what was about to happen.

The Host wavered as she saw her mother's tearstained face.

"You idiot! Push that fool down now! If she dies then it will be the end of your problems!" Of course it wouldn't be, but Sara didn't need any love from this people. She was determined to raise the Host into a real villainess.

The Host's hand shook. She didn't want to do it. But that voice in her head. Dazed, she shook her head to clear it. But what she didn't expect was for the girl in her arms to start struggling. The Host tried to keep her calm but failed.

"Stop! Let me go!" Tara had a look of panic on her face but inside she was delighted. This fool just seemed to want to make her work easier for her. Now especially. Tara looked at the stairs behind her. Everything was a mess right now. This was her chance.

She put up a bigger struggle and soon the two girls were tugging each other. Tara twisted until she was backing the parents and facing Sara. Her panicked eyes just now were full of hatred as she glared at Sara and mouthed the words 'Go die'

With a scream, she yelled "Let me go!" And pushed Sara.

Right down the stairs.
