Sacrifice of a Mother.

A drop of unknown fluid fell into darkness which reflected the boundless cosmos that in the next moment created the shape of a rippling ring in the vast ocean of nothingness, which radiated outward towards infinity generating collisions in the void as a huge blast of immeasurable intensity lit up the visible cosmic entities; scattering the cosmic dust over the eternal space in the darkness.

Everything happened in a flash as the void lit up and the next moment was filled with various wavelengths of light and green shades. And between it birthed an entity that changed the course of everything.

With a swing of its pseudopodia, the flames in the void were concentrated and everything around worked past infinity and every single thing again turned into darkness for a moment and the next thing which emerged was green light which blinded everything.

Drifting through electrical blue flash and green lights many formless white balls of light travelled at infinite speed creating a spectacular scenery behind, leaving some portions of shiny white particles to enhance the beauty of it in the dark.

Knowing its destination the white light balls were being pulled by this green force. Which ended up colliding with a formless mass of green sentience. This green thing extended its pseudopodia and took the scattering balls of light inside its formless mass. The white light orbs vibrated as they got mixed with the green entity's flowing energy and formed many two-coloured orbs and around them formed a covering that looked like a womb of the universe. Various transparent bodies kept on forming and changing as a roulette of interference concluded the movements and it all vanished as the wombs inside the green thing disappeared into particles.

_[<Millions of Years later>]_

The dusk was being welcomed with the orange carpet of sun rays on the clouds that formed them. The earth below was glistening with greenery with clouds touching the mountain tips. Inside the forest a group of bulky humans wearing soldier uniforms were chasing two people in front of them.

"Mother! " A girl with Red hair and brown eyes, no more than 10 years old, screamed looking at her mother. Her mother was pulling her with one hand and other arm was missing with lots of blood flowing out of the wound. Her mother had a look of fear and worry on her face and her eyes were flooding with tears. Looking at her mother's state, the 10-year-old child couldn't keep herself calm. It was so terrifying for her that she had already wetted her ragged pants. Her eyes were red and she was having a hard time breathing.

" This is your fault and reason for your death!" Among the savages was a person dressed in different but regal animal fur attire. From his looks, it was simple to guess that he was or could be a person of high standing or a noble. He spoke in a taunting but hoarse voice that sent chills down the little girl's spine.

" Ruby, don't fear and run, I am with you !" Saying this, the woman dragged her daughter with the remaining bit of energy within her. She ignored that man's threat. Even though she was in pain after losing her left hand to the man, she never flinched from giving protection to her daughter.

'I- I can't run anymore', The mother was getting out of breath from all of her exhaustion and was finding herself surrounded by only one thought, ' Run,run,run.' Whatever danger may be, every mother loved their child dearly even if they needed to give up their life for it, they would never flinch. She didn't lose hope. She was sure that she would protect her daughter at all costs but it came to a halt when she felt a stinging pain on her right arm. She quivered and examined her right to only see the arm in her daughter's hand.

" Ahhhhh!!!" A horrendous cry erupted as she screamed in pain and agony. Ruby, who was holding her mother's severed arm, collapsed on her butt with a mental trauma building within her mind and heaviness in her heart. It was already a miracle that this little girl could hold up till now but the limits to it were reaching. Ruby's mother looked into the blank eyes of her daughter and kicked the arm out of her daughter's hand.

" Ruby, get a hold of yourself !!!"

The last string of hope that she had held up till now was already broken. All she could see in front of her was a gruesome end which she didn't want her daughter to experience. Thus, clenching her teeth the mother looked back at the savages in rage.

"Flora, only if you didn't do this, you and your daughter could have lived happily with me. But what to say, we are not fated to be together, and you chose the wrong path." The man smirked in disdain.

" I would never let you touch my daughter, you freak." Yeah, what she said was correct. Along with her, that man wanted her little girl.

"Whatever I did for you, you've always disregarded my kindness. You spat on my goodwill." The man clenched his fist and pointed his sword at her.

"Bergener, do not let your words mislead others, you are in this position only because I helped you, and about me being yours? You were never worthy. Just like my fears told me, you were destined to be a villain.A reason for my and my family's demise." Flora spat the blood entering her mouth.

Flora, the mother of Ruby, didn't find worth in fighting this verbal battle for long with this man. All he did was manipulate her to get closer to her at the expense of her love and life. It was clear to her that she was already losing the physical battle, which she far long endured. Her mental battle? Yeah, every moment in her life after her husband's death she was being sucked off mentally. This man, the monster in her life, had taken everything from her, from her beloved husband to her every property. The last things left were her Daughter and dignity. Flora continued, "All your life, you blamed others for your incompetence and let your arrogance grow in your brain and heart. Bergener, you will not have a peaceful ending."

" You sure speak a lot, like always how you tried to-" Bergener tried speaking but before he could finish it, Flora kicked a stone towards him and ran along with her daughter.

" Flora! Flora!Flora! Fuck You! Go kill that bitch!" And the soldiers followed his order.

The chase didn't last long as it came to an stop with the dead end of the cliff.

Like a warrior, she stood at the edge of the cliff. Even though her eyes were swollen, even though her face was bloodied red, she held still and kept swallowing her pain which was slowly flowing out through the tears. However, even then she had a smile still on her face. Like a true mother protecting her child, she looked into Ruby's eyes and mumbled something withholding all the pain she was experiencing.

"For what is life but a play in which everyone acts a part until the curtain comes down?" She mocked life. But…all of that was a facade below which was hiding all her fears and sorrows breaking free to come out. Life is but a game that ends with death, nothing's new, it's everyone's destiny, but they fear it…even the brave ones. She looked at her daughter with a teardrop falling on her mocking smiley cheeks.

" Ru-bie, I'm sorry…" Her voice was fierce and breaking apart.

Ruby, who was still recovering from the exertions for her little heart, held her mother's rigged clothes with her tiny hand and closed her eyes.

Looking at her daughter, Flora had thoughts of jumping down the cliff at the expense of her life and somehow save her daughter's life by falling first and defending her daughter with her body in uncertainty.

The aim was set and her heart was cleared from the fears. Bound by intangible shackles of inevitability, she stepped one foot in front of another. For, despite this anguish, it was simply her path; the path only she could see. And the end was in her view, but before she could take another step, she was stopped by a voice,

"No circumstance is ever so desperate that one cannot nurture some spark of hope." The sound of a female rang at her opposite sides.

"When did she come?" A question was raised in everyone's mind. She had orange hair and eyes which looked mesmerising.

The lady in orange swung her auspicious sword like honey and within a few seconds the soldiers were cut. The wounds turned blooded and soon black, later started burning in an orange flame. Cries of pain echoed in the woods as every soldier lost their life in a gruesome burn.

Flora on the cliff turned slowly to look at the site. She had already used up all her energy and will power. Due to which she unknowingly fell unconscious which instantly turned up bad as she slipped from the cliff.

" Mothherrrrr…." Ruby screamed seeing her mother falling from the cliff.

The orange haired lady saw the woman falling but didn't respond to it and just smirked for a second and ignored it.

Ruby was crying at the edge of a cliff and was making an attempt to go after her mother, but she was stopped by a hand from behind.

Ruby saw the face of the orange haired women- flawless and celestial, like an angel from heaven descended on earth.

" Kid, be strong." The orange haired lady smiled and picked up Ruby in her arms.

" Rest well for now…" Ensuring her safety she said it like a magical note. A red coloured flame covered Ruby's eyes and forehead, giving the warmth of safety and making her fall asleep.

Orange haired lady then looked at the mess she created and nodded with satisfaction, "I too can be a tyrant..." However, it lasted for a few seconds and then she lost interest like it was not a big deal.

She turned away and vanished from the place in particles.
