20 The Game

~Thalia POV~

We all ran to the meeting area to prepare for the capture of the flag. Everyone knew what type of monstrosity Percy was. All cabin leaders met in the rec room to discuss the plan. The only problem during the planning was that this scum, Zack. This retard thinks he is better than everyone combined and could defeat Percy in one-on-one combat. I wonder how he still has that attitude after falling from that rebound.

I tried to ignore him and tried to recapitulate the plan thus formed. "Ok, so as planned, we divide into three groups. There will be two groups with the fastest and the most agile campers. These groups will be Group A and B. The third group, that is, group C will formulate the strongest and the tankiest members. Since Percy is the only one protecting the flag, Group C will move in the middle of the lure him away from the flag, Knowing Percy, He would Charge at group C without thinking. While both C and Percy fight, groups A and B will quickly move towards the flag from left and right. This way Percy wouldn't notice the flag stealers and we will win."

Everyone clapped on the table in agreement. "Percy has overestimated his powers. That will be his doom." I smirked.

This boy thinks he can be any good. He disgusts me.

"Very well, people, meeting dismissed. Grab your weapons and head to the forest area."

We reached the forest to see Percy waiting for us with Chiron. "Eh, you are late" grinned Percy. "We had an army to manage, Seaweed," I responded.

Chiron walked forward. "Very well campers. Today we have a Capture the Flag between the entire camp & Hunters as a team and Percy alone. As for the rules, killing or maiming is NOT allowed. All magic items are allowed. Guards aren't allowed to stand within ten yards of the flag, and the flag must be displayed prominently and cannot have more than two guards. IS THAT CLEAR?"

YES SIR. The entire crowd shouted.

Very well. Now proceed to your flags. We will start the game in 15 minutes.

We quickly ran to the over flag area. As planned, we divided ourselves into teams A, B, C. The fastest and most agile members, mainly belonging either to the hunt or to Hermes cabin were sent to groups B and C. The rest of the campers and hunters formed a big army.

Soon, Chiron blew the horn and the game started. All the groups ran into their assigned directions. I was with group C as I was sure they would need my help in fighting Percy, after all, I was one of the only people who could defeat Percy back when we used to spar. Hopefully, he hasn't gained much strength in the past few years. We just crossed the creek, when we met our doom.

We saw Percy, with Anasklusmos in his hand walking towards us. He had an evil smile on his face. Half of the group wanted to run away. "Oh? So the whole army's here? Very well. Let's begin the slaughter, shall we?"

With that said he disappeared. Everyone was stunned. Percy suddenly appeared in front of the front line of the battalion and struck them with the fuller region of his sword to ensure no one was hurt. This might sound like it was better, but he hit so hard that no one in the front line was left standing. Every single camper had been blown away.

Percy looked at us. His face turned into a psychotic grin. "Let's have fun." He then lept at us. Thanks to those burly sons of Hephaestus, the strike of Percy was barely stopped. But Percy transferred all his wait on to his sword and kicked the children of Hephaestus away. "ARCHERS SHOOT" I called to the archers who were at the back of the army. And then hundreds of arrows rained down on Percy. I was sure that would immobilize him.

How wrong I was.

Instead of dodging like a normal mortal, Percy ignored the arrows and continued walking towards us. The arrows couldn't touch him. Each arrow was deflected by his sword as soon as it was in the range of the sword. We hunters, who had never known fear, were scared. Percy was inflicting a murderous aura. "Ah, the arrows are getting annoying. You know what? Let's get over with them." Percy sighed and snapped his fingers. With that snap, Percy set the bowstrings to fire. The bows no longer had their strings and were rendered useless.

Most of the hunters and were disarmed as they could not wield any other weapon. The Apollo Cabin, who could only wield a bow, were also disarmed. They retreated to the camp, but as soon as they tried to cross the creek, they were captured by tentacles made of water. "No one goes back," Percy called out.

"WE HAVE TO FIGHT BACK PHYSICALLY" I commanded the leftover warriors. I pulled out my daggers and went towards Percy. The ones left now were a few from Ares cabin, who was able to withstand the first blow from Percy, Few surviving from Athena cabin. Five kids from Dionysus and Demeter cabin. Seven from Hermes Cabin. And twelve from minor gods cabin. There are thirteen from the hunt. And yes, one useless Zack.

The Demeter and Dionysus campers were stationed at the back from where they tried to grow vines and Karpoi to attack Percy. This was pretty useless as Percy was controlling fire with his left hand and water and his sword from his right. All those vines and Karpoi were burned to ash.

"It is difficult for us to attack this guy" reported the Apollo cabin leader. "The vortex of fire and water is protecting him from our damage. On top of that, this hurricane is too much to handle, the spears we throw get blown away. ALSO, WHY IS THAT VORTEX NOT OBEYING LAWS OF NATURE, WHY IS THE WATER NOT EXTINGUISHING THE FIRE?"

Man, this warrior is about to lose it.

For some reason, Percy suddenly reduced the intensity of the vortex. Just then a demigod ran towards him with a sword. It was Zack, not even surprising. As soon as Zack reached Percy, Percy hit him on the face using the fuller of his sword. Zack was thrown away to the creek twenty meters away. He would have died if the Water Tentacles had not caught him (not that I would have minded him dying).

To finish everything, Percy moved nearly as fast as light and hit everyone but me with the pommel. Everyone fainted. The only ones left were me and Percy. "How about it, Thalia? Let's have a spar, like older times?" Percy asked grinning in his stupid way.

What are the other teams doing? I wondered. Maybe they are nearly there. I should stall for time.

"Come on Percy," I called out. Percy smirked and attacked me. And, I barely was able to parry it. But somewhere I felt that he was holding back a lot of his power. I tried to kick Percy but he jumped on my leg and kicked me on my chest which pushed me towards the stream. For some reason, the tentacles didn't capture me, so I continued fighting. But hit me again with a jet of water from his hand which threw me to a tree. With that hit, I fainted.

When I woke up, I was on a bed and Lady Artemis was next to me. I stood up to see that everyone was there and while Percy stood next to Chiron with two flags, one that was completely blue and had a black trident at the centre, that was his own, and one that was completely silver and had a black lightning bolt in the centre, that was ours.

We had lost.
