52 Well, Let Me Introduce Myself

[The next day.]

It was nothing but chaos ruling the Collins' mansion. Blake had pondered over things for quite a few times and came to one conclusion. The party should be thrown right away. There was no use of delaying things. The sooner he got done with the party, the earlier he could busy himself with other matters.

"Is everything done?" He questioned the old butler about the arrangements without looking up from his phone.

"I have made all the arrangements, so you don't have to worry about things." The old man replied to him. "Also, I have sent the driver to pick up Mark. I figured out that it would be better if he looks over the catering." He continued to get a firm nod from Blake.

"That is a real good thing actually. With him here helping you out with the arrangements, things would run more smoothly. And it will ensure that you don't overwork yourself." Blake gave him a thumbs up.

"But why are you hurrying with things so much?" The old butler couldn't help but ask him.

"My baby sister finished her degree, that too a year in advance! This calls for a massive celebration. Why should I delay things? Also, there is something which I was thinking of giving to her, but now that she is here, I will hand it over to her right away." Blake answered him. He was clearly more than excited as he muttered the latter part. The glint in his dark brown eyes made it too obvious.

"I just hope she likes it." He added with a frown.

"I am sure that the Young Miss will love your present." The old butler spoke up as he tried to make him feel a little less nervous about it. "There was one more thing that I needed to talk to you about." He added in a stern tone.

"What?" Blake finally looked up at him. He wondered what it could be for the butler to mention it first before asking him. It was out of his character.

"Have you thought about what you will be doing with Miss Lillian?" The old man spoke up. "I mean, it wouldn't be smart to leave her on her own during the party, and it won't be safe for her if you let her join it." He explained his words. He was rather getting fond of the meek little girl, and was genuinely worried about her.

The old butler didn't know it all. But he had a rough idea about the issues of her memory. And he didn't want her to roam around the mansion on her own when it would be filled with so many strangers.

"Damn it!" Blake mumbled under his breath as the butler's words settled in his mind.

He was angry at himself for not thinking things through. He had been busy making calls everywhere to ensure that the present was ready in time for her party, which was one year ahead of the date which he had decided before. Of course, with the changes in date, he had to make some other changes with his small gift so that it was at least in a presentable condition.

During this whole chaos, Lillian had escaped his mind, which only left him more than irked. "How could I?" He mumbled to himself as he shook his head. Lillian was his responsibility now. He had willingly offered his assistance for it. Now, how could he be so careless when it came to her?

"Do you want me to arrange some protection for her? I can call someone from the base to accompany her during the event." Seeing the frown on his Young Master's forehead, the old butler suggested.

"No, I can't have some professional killer around her even if that's for her safety. It's a party and only the people from the corporate world and those who are close to me or her are going to come. I don't think that there will be any need to get someone from the base." Blake shook his head as thought over the old butler's words.

He knew that the old man had a point, but things should be kept light at the party. Katherine would love to accompany Lillian, but with her friends coming in, it was highly doubtful that she could even spare a couple of minutes to Lillian.

As for him, he would be too busy with greeting the guests to give her any time, or to even keep an eye on her from the distance alone. He needed someone who would be as out of place as Lillian was going to be at the party, not some crazy assassin.

"I think I might have the right person in my mind." He muttered as he began to scroll through his phone. He remembered that he had the number saved somewhere in his phone, but under what name, he couldn't recall that.

After going through his contacts' list for a good amount of time, he was finally able to find the person. Without thinking it over too much, he dialed the number as he brought the phone up to his ear.

He waited for a while before the other person picked up, and the call was connected through.

"Hello? Who is this speaking?" A soft, feminine voice entered his ears which made him smile a little.

"Hello. I hope you are doing good." He mumbled as he greeted the lady.

"Thank you for your concern, but may I know who am I talking to?" The lady replied in the same humble tone.

"I have to say that I am a little hurt that you don't recognize me." Blake replied with a cheeky smile. What he didn't catch on was the old butler shaking his head helplessly as he stood by his side, listening to him flirt with god knows who.

"Excuse me?" A confused reply made its way into Blake's ear, forcing him to get to the point right away.

"Well, let me introduce myself…" He smiled to himself.
