Zacharias walked down the sidewalk. It really was a day of intense emotions. The caravan of policemen moved away and he sat down on the sidewalk next to a silent Leonel.

The boy did not say anything to the other. It was all over. Only Darzinda wasn't there. They had hardly spoken. They had not been able to be together. No matter what happened, he would not forget her,

--Hey boy,-- Zacharias said to him after sitting quietly beside him and seeing his car damaged all over, --Not like that either. The girl wouldn't have liked to see you sad.

--But I will never let myself be coerced by religion, race, or social class. I'm going to the air force academy .

--I hope the best for you. One other thing. I know it's not the time. But you can't leave just like that. There're a girl and four sisters on their own, with no one. Without a father and they lack a guide. Start there.

Leonel looked at him with a new sparkle in his eyes.
