"It is good to see you again, Florence. You don't need to refer to me as mister. Does this request upset you?" Ian questioned since she smiled when he said it, but it was more like she was uncomfortable.

"I have a way of addressing the lady's guest. I don't mean to remind you of your father but there is a way I do things and it is hard to change unless the lady asks. If you don't mind, I would like to ask a favour considering the lady," Florence said as she closed the door behind Ian.

She continued, "I might be stepping far out of line here, but it is because I care for her. She has been working all day since her guest left and I am worried because she felt a little warm earlier. If you do not mind, could you please get the lady to rest?"

"Certainly," Ian replied. "You might need to have some ropes ready because she might put up a fight. I shall yell if I am losing."
