Beth arrived at Dorothy's home, ready to tell her story of the kind of man her son was. They would not be getting rid of her so easily. Beth tried to get the tears to start as she walked to the door. Another woman could not ignore seeing a pregnant woman in tears, crying over a man who didn't want to take care of his responsibility.

Dorothy might be an old hag but she had a heart when it came to the baby. Dorothy's help today would be the last gift to Beth before Chester would have her killed.

Before Beth could knock on the door, the butler came out as if he was expecting her arrival. Had Jack called ahead to get them to not take her visit?

"I came to speak with Lady Dorothy," Beth said.

"The lady is just returning from her trip out. You must wait to see if she will accept you," the butler answered.
