Chapter 23 Elimination Of A Gang

As Silver woke up to the sound of his phone going off he laid there and mumbled "Is it time for work already?" Silver grabbed his phone and read the message "This job is a bit more difficult, I need you to kill an entire gang, the reward for this one is way bigger though, think you can handle it?" Silver types the word yes and said "Killing a gang, sounds interesting." After a few seconds, a message popped up saying "It's just down the road from you, this gang has apparently gotten their hands on some illegal weapons, you might wanna grab some of them so we can resell them."

Silver glanced over at Wendy and Amber and said "I should have time to do this before they wake up." Silver stood up and began to search around the hotel room as he asked "Did I leave my bulletproof vest at the college?" Silver walked to the door and said "Well nothing I can do about it now." Silver opened the door and said, "I'll just have to make sure not to get shot." Silver thought for a moment and said "Well it's fine if I get shot so long as it isn't in the head."

After walking a few blocks away from the hotel Jax sent another message with a picture of the building in it. Silver glanced at the picture and then stared at the building in person. Silver put his phone away and entered the building holding his two pistols as he said "Let's make this quick." As he entered the extremely dark building he was hit in the back of the head with something and fell unconscious." As he woke back up he found himself tied to a chair above some sort of liquid. Silver glanced up at a rope that was holding the chair as he spun and said "Guess these guys were expecting visitors."

Silver glanced around and asked, "So how long is this gonna take?" As he said this a dark figure emerged from the shadows and said "So your the guy they sent to kill us all." Silver squinted his eyes ignoring the question and asked "Can you take another step or two into the light, I still can't see you." The man took walked closer and said "You wanted to kill my entire gang of fifty people." Silver nodded and said, "Yeah, I planned to do it by breakfast but I guess that's no longer an option."

The man glanced at someone else and said "Drop him." As Silver slowly lowered he asked, "Are you gonna drown me?" The man glanced at him with a smirk and said "Of course not, I'm gonna destroy your body using acid." Silver sat there and said, "Okay, guess I'll just wait then." The man glanced at Silver and said "Giving up already, it's the smart thing to do." As Silver was lowered into the water with just his head above it he sat there without making so much as a noise. The man walked towards Silver and asked "Shouldn't there be more screams of agony or something?"

The man stared at Silver and watched as his skin melted off and regenerated again and again. The man stared at Silver and asked "What are you?" Silver glanced at him and said, "Doesn't really matter but do you have anything better than this?" As Silver stood up he checked his wrists and said "Looks like the acid melted the ropes before me, if I were you I would've used chains." Silver began to walk towards the man as he said "I'm only gonna ask this once, where are my guns?" The man took a few steps backward and asked "Are you human?"

Silver stepped out of the pit of acid and said "More or less." Silver picked him up and said, "I answered your question so now it's your turn to answer." The man shook in fear for a few moments before Silver tossed him into the acid and said "Fine then don't answer." As soon as he hit the acid he began to scream out in pain. After a few seconds, the screams stopped and Silver turned his attention to the man who dropped him into the acid and said "You must know, right?" The man was against the wall trying to put as much distance between him and Silver as he could while shouting "Stay away!"

Silver yawned and said, "I should've slept in today, at this rate it'll take way longer than breakfast." Silver glanced around and said, "If I were my guns where would I be." Silver sighed and said, "They would probably be somewhere in the garbage right now." Silver walked over to a trash bin and seen dozens of guns. Silver dumped the bin and said "Throwing away all of your old guns is such a waste." After digging through the guns for a while Silver found his pistols and said "Bingo."

Silver glanced back up to see if the man was still there and said "Figures, he ran." After a few seconds, a group of men ran out and started to aim at Silver while one of them shouted "If that naked man moves even an inch fill him with bullets!" Silver pointed at him and shouted, "I'm not naked, my clothes just have a lot of holes." Silver held out his arm and said "I made sure these clothes were super durable for jobs like these, they're even fireproof... sort of."

One of the men began to approach Silver with a gun aimed at his head as he said "Remember we don't need you alive, choose your next move carefully." Silver glanced around and noticed a giant tank of something flammable and said with a smile "Next move has been decided." The men all glanced at each other in confusion as Silver aimed his gun at the tank and said "Please don't kill me in the process." As he fired off the bullet three others shot at him. Silver leaned backward and barely managed to avoid the bullets.

As the bullets passed over his head and the bullet he shot hit the tank he said "That reflex enhancement thing wasn't a ploy to kill me after all." As the explosion went off it sent everyone flying and set a lot of the building on fire and killing many. During the explosion, a piece of metal flew into Silver's chest. Silver fell backward onto the metal pushing it out as he mumbled "That went better than I thought it would." Silver stood up and began to shoot the remaining ones while shouting "The rest of you are next!" After a few minutes and more than three magazines, Silver walked out of the building breathing heavily and coughing.

Silver glanced back at the building and said "It was getting hard to breathe in there." Silver turned back around still coughing as a car passed by and Jax got out and asked "Did you do this by yourself?" Silver nodded and said, "Yeah, wasn't I supposed to?" Jax showed Silver the texts and said "I told you that I was gonna send someone else with you." Silver felt around his pockets and said "Shit, they took my phone too." Jax sighed and said, "Seriously, you lost your phone?" Silver glanced at him and said, "I didn't lose it, Rhodes bastards took it."

Jax nodded and said, "Yeah yeah, I figured this would happen sooner or later so I made an exact copy of your previous phone, all of the contacts are already there." Jax reached back into the car and grabbed a bag and said "Put these on as well, we can't have you walking around looking like that." Silver glanced at his clothes and asked "Are they really that bad?" Jax nodded and said, "I was gonna stop by the hotel to give you those clothes as back up but apparently you need them here and now." Jax got back into the car and said "Come on, get your ass in the car, I'm sure Amber is waiting for you."

Silver nodded and said "Okay." As Silver got into the car Jax glanced at him and said "That reminds me, some guy came by looking for you saying you were the first person to survive a reflex enhancement device, know anything about it?" Silver nodded and said, "Yeah, I died for about a minute." Jax stared at him and said, "Take better care of yourself, how am I gonna make money if you die."

Silver laughed and said, "I'm sure you can find some other guy in need of some money." Jax smiled and said, "Yeah probably, but so far your the most efficient in that department." Jax glanced at him and said, "That and my wife would kill me if she found out that I did nothing as you died." As the car stopped at the hotel Jax said "Well I no longer need to be here so take it easy for a while, okay?" As Silver got out of the car in new clothes he nodded and said "Sure, no problem."
