Chapter 1 The Rescued Girl And Her Guardian

Our story begins with a creature waiting atop the rooftops in the middle of the night with brown hair, a blue and an orange eye, a tail, and a notepad looking down at the streets patiently waiting.

As the creature glanced behind himself looking at the note pad he mumbled to himself "Let's see the author said to look for a poorly treated girl and a powerful man."

The creature tossed the notebook aside and said "In that case, we can get the real story going now since I pretty much have those." The creature proceeded to jump off the ledge with a smile as he reached into the pocket and pulled out a phone and began to call someone.

The creature landed on the ground a few feet away from some people as a voice on the phone asked "What do you need right now I'm very busy?" The creature smiled and said, "I found what you asked for." The voice on the phone excitedly said "Seriously you found people like that already."

The creature began to walk towards an alley as he said "I'll set things into motion now, we can talk after this okay?" The voice shouted, "If I find out your screwing with me I swear I-." The creature hung up and stared at the phone with a cheeky grin as he said "Being a fictional character and working for some guy sure is a pain."

The creature put the phone away and leaned against a wall as he said "That guy should really be thanking me, I'm about to make some guy's life hell and a little better at the same time."

As a man wearing all black with white hair walked past the creature it said "That's the guy." The creature began to follow him as he put a hand on his shoulder and whispered "Take a left and enter the building."

The man turned around quickly as if he was expecting someone or was prepared to fight, but to the man's surprise, nothing was there. The man looked around and asked, "What was that?" The man looked around nervously as he let out a sigh of relief and said "Doesn't look like anything is happening."

As the man continued to walk he suddenly stopped and walked towards a door. The man stared at the door for a few moments and became startled as he heard glass shatter on the ground.

The man stood there patiently as the creature stood beside him and said "Don't just stand there, get a move on or it might be too late." The man panicked and pulled a knife on the creature as he asked "Who are you." The creature glanced at him and said "Now that you mention it I didn't even introduce myself to the reader."

The creature smiled and said, "You can just call me Thomas." The man glanced at the door hearing another loud crashing sound as he asked "Why do you want me to go in there." Thomas stared at the door and said "If you enter you'll find out." The man stared at him and asked "But what are you?"

Thomas smiled and said, "Well, I guess I'm just something pulled right out of a fairytale." Thomas looked around and said, "However I made sure you'd be able to see me like this, otherwise you wouldn't believe me." The man glanced back at the door and heard a man's voice shout "Can't you do anything right!"

As the man glanced back at Thomas he was nowhere to be seen. The man looked around and mumbled, "Where did he go?" As the door opened a rather obese man walked out holding a blonde-haired girl as he tossed her outside and shouted "If you can't behave then you can sleep outside with the wolf animals!"

As the obese man slammed the door and left the blonde-haired girl outside she crawled towards the door in tattered clothing covered in bruises and begged to be let back in. The man stood there staring at her as he asked "Is this what he was talking about?

The man stared at the girl as he said "These things are pretty common around the world, why would he want me to help her?" The girl turned around facing the man but averting her gaze as she laid her back against the door and pulled her knees towards her chest muttering "Please let me back in"

The man stared at her for a moment and said "This little girl is gonna have to learn to toughen up if she doesn't wanna die in this cruel world." The man began to walk away as he said "Good luck, you'll need it in your current situation."

The man glanced back at the girl and seen that the obese man opened the door and grabbed her by her hair as he drug her back into the house while shouting "Change of plans, Looks like I found something for you to do." The man stood there as the door slammed feeling empty as he raised a hand to his heart and clutched his chest.

The man loosened his grip and said "If I act on the drop of a hat every time I see something like this I'd have a lot more enemies than I already do." The man turned back around and walked off into the dark of the night as he said "I have more work to do."

As the girl was tossed against a wall the obese man smiled and said, "You're about to make me a lot of money." The obese man smiled as the door opened and said "Selling you will be the smartest thing I could've ever done." As another man entered the room with an eyepatch he asked "Where is this girl you were talking about?"

The obese man pushed the girl towards him and said "That would be her, this little runt, she's eight and you can use her for whatever you want, even if you want her to kill herself just say the word and she'll do it." The man with the eyepatch smiled and said "A blonde girl who's willing to do anything, this is quite the find."

The man in the eyepatch glanced at the door and said "Bring in the suitcase, we'll be making a purchase tonight." After a few seconds, the man with the eyepatch glanced at the girl who stood there not daring to make a move as he smiled and said "Don't look down deary, I make sure to take care of my toys."

The man glanced at the door and asked "What is taking that idiot so long?" The man with the eyepatch began to walk towards the door as he said "Wait here just a moment I'll get the money myself." After he left the door the obese man and girl heard a scream that only seemed to startle the obese man.

The girl slowly glanced at the door with her emotionless eyes as the obese man shouted "What the hell is going on out there." After a few moments, a hand peered out from the door as a voice asked "Are you still taking offers?" The man stared at the door and shouted "No, I just sold her, now get lost!"

As he pushed the door open the white-haired man wearing black walked and said "If you're talking about that guy in the eyepatch he and his partner just left." The obese man stared at him and said "Fine then hurry up and make your damn offer." The white-haired man tossed a briefcase down in front of them and said "Same offer as them, do we have a deal?"

The obese man stared at him and smiled as he said "Sorry this isn't gonna cut it, the price looks like it has just gone up." The man gritted his teeth and said "Then how much do you want?" The man glanced at her and said "If it's the same deal that suitcase must have around two thousand dollars, if you can double that she's all yours."

The man glanced at the girl and said "Fine then, I'll double what they asked for." The man smiled and said, "Then I'll be waiting here for you to retrieve it." The man lifted his shirt and pulled a box from off of his chest as he said "It'll be faster if I write you a check, does that sound fair?" The man nodded and said, "So long as I'm able to get some cash I don't give a shit on how you pay me."

The man quickly wrote on the check and handed it to the man as he said "Now give me the girl." The obese man put the check in his pocket and glanced at the girl as he said "Now get going and be sure not to disobey him you understand?" The girl nervously nodded without saying a word as she let go of the man's hand and stood there staring at the white-haired man.

The white-haired man walked towards her and stood in front of her silently. The girl flinched as he put his hand on her head and said "I'm gonna take you away from this life, so you can calm down." The girl stared at him with her still lifeless eyes as she said "You just want me to let my guard down so you can abuse me later."

The white-haired man turned around and knelt down to her as he said "I see you're not gonna trust me with words alone so how about we go and get you something to eat." The girl stared at his back and asked "What do you want me to do, are you planning to hurt me in some strange way?" The white-haired man glanced at her and said "Nothing like that, I actually want you to climb on since you obviously can't walk on your own with all those injuries."
