Epic Class Boss

Drake had bought another headset to play the game and was now sitting on his bed, trying to calm his mind. It seemed like he had subconscious fear of the helmet now and he was trying to calm his racing heart. General then spoke up,"My lord, I can knock you out once you start the headset if you'd like?"

Drake said,"No, just give me a minute" He had to do this naturally, who knows what other side effects this might have if he goes into the game wrong. He calmed his beating heart as he remembered his goal, to stand above all as the undisputed. His heart rate slowed and he calmed down and before he could freak out again said,"Login!" Drake was then transferred into the game.

Drake came too in the same spot he was transferred out from and as he looked around he noticed that the mini-boss wasn't here which meant that Loco had managed to defeat it. Then he saw Loco standing next to the door to the boss room. Drake walked over to him and said,"So this is the boss room huh?"

Loco shouted,"Ah! Oh my god! Drake! What happened?!" Loco was genuinely worried about his friend, he had just left in the middle of a boss fight.

Drake sighed and said,"I won't lie to you, I had made a powerful enemy before I could move out of my house and he sent someone to sabotage my headset, which short circuited it and forced me out, burning me and giving me some intense head pain."

Loco looked really worried and said,"Damn! Really? Man screw that prick! Are you ok though?"

Drake nodded his head and responded,"Yeah, as far as I can tell the shock actually accelerated my mind, its weird, its kind of like when you speed up a video but just constant with anything you do, so I'm not exactly complaining!" He laughed out loud, this was obviously a lie but it would be able to explain his intelligence in the real world if that ever came into question. It was always good to set a good foundation for a lie to stand on. Drake then noticed that Loco seemed really happy right now despite having to face that boss before. He said,"You don't seem mad about me leaving?"

Loco shook his head and denied it saying,"Not at all, I could never hold something like that on you, that was out of your control. I'm actually really happy right now as I helped my father gain a really profitable deal with a foreign company."

Drake smiled and said,"Alright, enough of this, you remember our deal right? Because I left in the fight I didn't get any rewards from the mini-boss, but you'll still let me challenge the boss by myself right?"

Loco responded,"Of course, I am a man of my word, you may fight the boss by yourself, however can I record your fight?"

Drake said,"Of course, I don't mind". After saying that the young boys looked at the purple door leading to the boss room and Drake prepared himself and they walked into the giant room. It had water everywhere, stone carved into lion mouths dotted the walls, constantly spewing water out them. There were very few areas where water was not present and Drake braced himself for the enemy to come.

Suddenly the cave they were in started shaking and it felt like there was an earthquake happening as stones and stalactites started falling to the ground. Suddenly Drake saw three eyes staring at him from one of the sewers and shouted at Loco,"Whatever you do don't look at it's third eye! Petrification Spell!"

Drake looked back as a giant snake came slithering out of one of the mouths on the wall. It plopped down onto the grown below and let out a loud bellow to signal intent to fight. Drake smiled and rushed forwards with General guiding him.

General shouts in his mind,"You have to cut off all of its tails at once, I can only get you 3 seconds! You'll have to trust me on this!"

Drake shouts back,"Go for it!" Drake was too weak right now to evenly compete with this basilisk as he was still only level 13 and this basilisk should be around level 25 not even counting it was an epic class monster. So Drake did as General told him to do.

Loco watched from the side with his recording going and watched as Drake fought the colossal snake. Drake dodged a whip from the snake's tail, jumping onto one and running up its back. The snake writhed and tried to shake Drake off its back and gave Drake the momentum he needed to reach the ceiling of the cave. The snake looked around confused, not knowing where its attacker had gone.

Drake quickly pushed off from the ceiling as hard as he could and used three consecutive spear thrusts on each tail. With Drake's power from the downward fall and his base strength the tails of the snake were quickly cut off in one smooth movement.

Drake hit the ground and rolled and quickly got back into a defensive stance as the basilisk reeled in pain. The snake then screamed out once more and coated itself in a blood red aura, also activating its petrification eye for the first time. Drake thought to himself,'Shit, this basilisk has berserker mode, I don't know if I can win without looking at it though!"

General shouted in his mind,"My Lord! The Aura you were trying to use with your heart protection theory, try it with your eyes! Drake tried to protect his eyes just like he had with his heart and to his surprise it worked! Drake closed his eyes and realized that he could see the battlefield better like this too, it was like he could feel the room. He turned towards Loco with his eyes still closed and felt with his aura he was still unharmed, then turned towards the basilisk.

Drake shouted,"Your time has come!" and rushed the basilisk, immediately casting body double and having the two Drakes attack the basilisk. The snake slithered around and knocked the real Drake into a wall, however Drake just coughed and shook off the hit, quickly returning to the field. The double came with a slice, a huge cut in the side of the snake, which the snake retorted with attempting to petrify and crush the enemy on its back. The double dodge its fangs and jumped the ground below.

The real drake then shouted,"Technique 13 till 25!" The double and real Drake started moving in Sync, thrusting and slicing up the basilisk in several areas as it writhed and tried to defend itself. Drake knew his double's time limit of 5 minutes was almost up and decided to use what time he had left by first calling it over to him. Then once regrouped the both started running towards the basilisk once more.

About 30 feet away from the basilisk the double stopped and Drake held onto his hands. The double spun in a circle very fast three times and threw the real Drake as hard as he could at the basilisk. The double then disappeared almost immediately afterwards and the real Drake was still in the air, readying his spear. He flew towards the eye of the basilisk that petrified people and with all of the strength he mustered executed the 52nd technique of his spearmanship , "The final thrust". His spear rips through the basilisk's head at a very fast speed and the basilisk's eyes suddenly become hollow, and it falls to the ground, defeated.

Drake quickly hit yes and he received 3 basilisk tails, as well as 2 eyes and 4 medium size basilisk pelts. Drake stared at the fortune before him, each of these materials was worth billions in the future and now he had it in his inventory! The choice to make this the first location was the correct choice!

Loco walked up as Drake was still getting excited over the basilisk parts. He said,"I didn't expect you to be able to do it. That was honestly the most impressive thing I've ever seen." He was solemn and serious and Drake knew that this was not the time to mess around.

Drake responded,"I was very lucky, there were many times where I was sure I would fail, but I pushed forward anyways, you are strong, hell you basically killed a rare boss by yourself! Don't throw yourself short."

Loco was really touched and then remembered his video was still running and stopped it. He then put it onto the forums with the title of,"Worlds Strongest Live Fight with Epic Class Boss". He smiled as Drake continued celebrating his accomplishment and thought to himself,'I need him on my side..' Loco started to plan.
