27 ~26~ Not Hell

"Are you sure that he's going to wake up any minute from now, Elyx?"

"I'm not the one that said that Victoria, it was the clinic's physician, alright?"

"I just want to make sure, besides you heard it too right?"

Xyle only heaved a sigh and nod towards Victoria that made her smile to the fullest. Now, she's currently looking at Ger that her hands were holding his and caressing them gently

'I don't even know why this lady in front of me made me annoyed for a moment. Her smile towards the young guy, her holding his hands and her asking for him every time. I don't think that I can be calm later on. Doesn't she have a clue on what I'm feeling right now? Sometimes I can only think that she's dense, very dense'

"You know what Elyx? I'm glad that we've saved this young man"

'For what? For him to be your personal knight? I doubt that he can be one considering that he can be easily killed'

Xyle wanted to rebut those words towards Victoria but he can't and he doesn't even know why. Just seeing her smile made his heart pound louder than before that made it ache upon seeing what she's doing towards the sleeping young man.

However, they didn't even know what truly happened, that's why Xyle can easily predict what he can see from the outside. Yet, even he has some doubts about not only the young man being killed but the way that he was almost killed

'However, it was kind of weird. The young man's wounds and everything doesn't have any signs that he had been attack it was as if he tried to kill himself'

Xyle thought, he knew well how to kill someone as well as how to kill own's self. He had the most likely idea because he had been practicing with that idea. It's because of the way that he grew up that triggered him to be like that

"….right Elyx?"

"I think I should get out of in this room for a while. I need to breathe some fresh air"

"Alright, just be careful on your way"

"Yeah, I'll be back in a second"

"Take your time. Just remember my favor, Elyx"

"I never forgot it one bit, Victoria"

"Hmmmm"

Victoria only hummed as a response with her accompanying genuine smile that made Xyle averted his gaze towards her. Then began to walk outside of the room leaving the two people inside

'The atmosphere there likes to suffocate me'

"Fahar, is it this way?"

"Keep your mouth quiet for a while Giovanni and yes this is the place"

"I just can't keep it quiet Fahar, it's because I'm very much curious!"

"Alright! Alright! We're here to clean the place inside, alright?"

"Wait, clean? Is that why his highness had requested us to be in this place?"

Instead of responding earlier than ever, Fahar only rolled his eyes from Giovanni and shook his head as he heaved a sigh

'What do I do with this annoying servant that the crown prince had taken? UGH!'

He can only shout inside his mind as they continue walking towards the place.

"Seriously Fahar, you're going to ignore me?"

"It's because you're annoying!"

"I'm annoying now, huh?"

"Please not again, Giovanni"

"Then I'll leave. I wasn't even brief where we are in the imperial household"

However, before Giovanni could take a step forward on the opposite place, Fahar already grabbed a hold of his sleeves and sighed a long one.

'I guess I needed to tell him, besides the crown prince didn't even say anything towards Giovanni in the first place'

"Alright, alright Giovanni, relax alright?"

"How could I ever relax when you can't even explain where we are! Doubts now had been running towards my mind that you'd do something to me in here"

Again instead responding back towards Giovanni, Fahar only shook his head and sighed again

"What?"

"Here, let's be in here"

Then Fahar guided Giovanni inside a place that had a faint dim light, there was a seat there and he immediately made the new servant sit there while looking seriously. Giovanni, on the other hand, only creased his eyebrows as he looked up to Fahar who was looking so damn serious towards him

"Alright, as you know the crown prince had requested us to be in this place. He told me to come to this place and show it to you"

"Wait, so you already knew of this place?"

"Of course, even before you were employed in this household, I already knew of his. This was what the crown prince had built himself secretly towards the emperor and his sister"

"Huh?! Wait I don't get it, the crown prince had a sister?"

"I guess you weren't informed. You're already working in this place for how many days?"

"I don't even know now, I lose count of them"

*Sigh* Fahar heaved a sigh

"Alright, but don't say that you weren't here for many days now"

"Y-Yeah?"

"That's why, it's because the crown prince's sister was informed ill. She wasn't even able to go out of her chambers. It is said that Princess Selene had an incurable disease"

"What?! Is that the reason why the crown prince had always continued his research about the herbs and medicine?"

'How does this boy knew of that? I guess he's sharp on the crown prince but not those people inside the household, huh?'

"Alright, explaining to you doesn't seem to let you realize it yet. Follow me now"

Giovanni was confused, curious and scared. He doesn't even know why but he only gulped and nodded seriously towards Fahar and followed behind them. It was until Fahar opened the door inside the dark old wooden room that Giovanni was amaze

"So there was like this inside the imperial palace?"

"Yes, and it's only the crown prince's idea. He trusted you that's why he let me know to tell you and show it to you"

"Holly Molly! It looks like I've found another surprised!"

"Right?"

"I'm sorry Ger, I'm sorry that we only arrived at your place when you're already wounded and the people inside were already dead. I'm sorry"

The cries that Victoria was controlling so hard were now showing towards the sleeping young man named Ger. He had those headbands for his head and a large band for his other hand. He was sleeping peacefully as if he had no problem in life but that was because he was unconscious.

While he was unconscious, Victoria was crying in front of him holding his hand. He was gently caressing the hand that doesn't have any bandage. Those warm liquids that escape her eyes were now flowing towards the sheets of Ger that covering his lower body. Sounds of crying can be heard inside the room.

'.....UGH!'

Then as if Ger was currently having well enough consciousness, he was now feeling that someone was holding his hands. He was now hearing some sounds of crying inside the room and he was now feeling the warmth of the sun that was hitting the room inside where he is

Victoria, on the other hand, didn't felt any moves from his hand because she was focused on crying until Ger had groaned from his deep sleep. That's the time that Victoria immediately wiped her tears in her sleeves and guided Ger from feeling comfortably

"W-W-Where a-am I-I? did I went to h-hell?"

A sore but deep voice yet rough had spoken inside the room. Victoria heard such voice that made her felt sorry for the young man. He even mention about being in hell. That made Victoria confused as her eyebrows were creased while looking towards Ger who was slowly opening his eyes

However, even before opening his eyes, he made a rough laughter inside the room that made shivers inside of Victoria's spine run. Yet, that didn't stop Victoria from gripping tightly on Ger's free hand that wasn't bandaged.

"Hmmm, seems like I was separated from my brothers' souls were. If you're the reaper of death whose holding my hand right now, I beg you to take me towards my brothers. I guess I died in the end with them"

"…"

Victoria couldn't utter a single word. Her mouth was wide opened, her eyes were widened, she nearly stumbled on her seat and nearly lets go on his hand. However, she seemed paralyzed. She felt like cold water had been bathed to her. She can't deny the reality that Ger was thinking that he died

'Wait, why does he thought that he died? He didn't even think that someone might save him? And brothers? Are they the reason why he was like that? I was out of words to utter and ask him right now'

Victoria could only focused her sight on Ger who was slowly opening his eyes. However, before hearing any response, laughter rang inside the room. It was a teasing laughter that made Ger turned his head to hear where the laughter was

"Hahahahahha, did you even think that a lady's hand is that of a reaper of death?"

"Who are you"

However, the previous stuttering words of Ger was now firmed like a dangerous deep voice that no one can be messed with

"Well, let's say that I'm just a guy that saved you from death"

"Saved? Please, if you're the guy that saved me from death then why do I feel like I'm in hell right now, huh?"

Then laughter again echoed inside the room that made Ger's eyes completely opened. There, he only saw that he's inside a room and saw the guy that talked to his earlier.

"Wait this isn't hell, huh?"

'So those footsteps weren't from those killers but from this guy ---- and'

He wasn't able to continue what he was thinking when he looked at the person that was continuing to hold his hand.

"Victoria?"
