Red Skin

Nathan saw everything that has happened to his professor. it only took 1 minute from the moment the professor felt the sting and to the point where he collapsed on the floor. it happened so fast the nobody can even react, the shock definitely played a big role there.

Then Annie rolled the professor's body, he was now facing the ceiling instead of the floor. the class gasped in horror as they saw the pale-faced professor, his eyes that were still open turned white, he looks like he's still gritting his teeth from the pain he felt just a moment ago.

Mr. Salceda looked like he is already dead, but that was not the case. Annie placed her fingers on Mr. Salceda's left wrist to feel if there is still a pulse.

"phew"

Annie let out a breath and then she sighed because she can definitely feel their professor's pulse. she smiled and looked at her classmates around her. she saw the nervous, sad, and pale faces of her classmates. she nodded to assure them that their professor is still alive.

"Micah, go to the clinic. get nurse Josephine here, she will know what to do. Andrew, get the other professors here, we also need their help to carry Sir Salceda."

Micah and Andrew quickly nodded in unison. Micah's waist-long blonde hair swayed as she ran to the classroom door, beside her was Andrew who wore around eyeglasses he has a slim body and white skin. he opened the door for Micah, then they separated their way because the school clinic is located on the second floor of the building while Andrew got to the nearest classroom that was just facing their classroom.

Annie saw this and she felt relieved. Annie felt something weird as her fingers that still feeling the professor's pulse felt like the pulse is getting faster and faster. the pulse was so fast it can't be considered normal anymore even someone ran to their limit their pulse will not be going this fast. Annie knitted her eyebrows.

Nathan was in a daze, not because of what's happening but because of his crush, Annie. he looked at her like she was an angel ready to help anyone. he felt his heart beating fast. Nathan and Annie have been classmates since their freshman year, now they are 3rd-year college students. but even though that was the case they barely talked to each other. Nathan still can't confess his love for Annie.

While feeling this, Nathan shifted his gaze to what's happening below them. then he saw the scene that can only be described as chaotic. people running around everywhere, he even saw some people being chased by other people inside the cafeteria. the people that were chasing other people looked different, somehow their skin looked like it changed its color to crimson red.

the red colored people ran like a mad dog looking like it hasn't eaten for a whole week and now it all can see is food. one of the red people stood in front of a jeepney, its mouth was foaming and its face looked like it was angry to the people inside the jeepney. then it went inside.

"hey, what the hell are you doing? stay the fuck back!"

"waaahhhh"

"stay away from me and my child!"

"grrrr"

there were three normal people inside the jeepney one were a bulky looking guy in his mid 50's wearing a black tank top, cargo pants, and a black backpack. he looks like a construction worker just by looking at his body. then there was a woman, she looked like she's in her early 40's she's wearing a white dress. on her lap was her crying child, a girl no more than 10 years old that was also wearing a white dress. she embraced her child tightly as she stared at the angry red person who was foaming its mouth like it has rabies.

"wahhh, mama, that man is scary wahhh"

the girl was crying as she stared at the man who was also looking at her. she faced her mother and buried her face on her mother's chest while still crying.

"shhhhh, it is okay. everything is going to be alright, the police will come soon"

the mother whispered to her frightened child. then she asked the red man.

"wha- what do you want? Do you want money? you can take all my money just leave us alone!"

the red man shifted his gaze to the mother. then the red man said something in a language that the people inside the jeepney never heard of.

"grrrr, motug an motug oka. grrr"

the three people flinched at the voice of the red man, its voice sounded like a growl and at the same time hoarse. the mother hugged her child tightly even more as the red man started moving his body to the mother while on a crouching position. this is because the roof of jeepneys was very low so one has to crouch when inside the jeepney.

BAM!

the bulky man suddenly formed a defensive posture in front of the mother after he punched the red man on his face containing all of his power. one would think that if someone was punched like that he would have already collapsed on the ground. but that was not the case, the red man stood there like he was just punched by a 10-year-old boy.

the bulky man couldn't believe his eyes. he was so confident on that punch, furthermore, the red man was skinny! he looked like he was just skin and bones but to his surprise, it did nothing to the red man. he stepped back while stile protecting the mother and child. suddenly, the red man grabbed his neck with the red man's skinny red hands. veins were bulging in the red man's arm. he then felt it, the grip was getting tighter and tighter. it was unbelievable that this skinny man can exert this much force just from his grip. he tried everything just to get out of the red man's grip.

he tried punching the red man in the face again, he also tried kicking the side of the red man, but it still didn't do anything. then he saw the red man smile, and to his horror, the teeth of the red man started falling out, it then replaced by jagged red teeth it was like a shark's teeth. the nails in the hand thaw were still gripping his neck started falling out too and was replaced by two centimeter long pointy red nails, but it was thicker than normal nails.

"aacckkk"

the bulky man can't say anything as he was gasping for breath. dark red blood started gushing out when the red nails punctured his skin then it was getting deeper and deeper. his vision was getting darker and darker, he looked to his back where the mother and her child was still sitting and hugging each other

he can only say one word before the red man ripped the esophagus from the bulky man's neck.

"ru- run!"

THUD

"AHHHH"

"MAMA! MAMAA! WAHHHH sobs sobs"

the mother screamed her lungs out at the sight of the bulky man falling on the cold iron floor of the jeepney. the man was still twitching, with his eyes wide open while trying to stop the bleeding from his nonexistent neck with his hands. at the last moments of the man, he stared at the mother with a sad and pained expression before he stopped moving.

the floor was now covered with the blood of the dead man. the red man was still holding the esophagus then he started eating it. the red man closed his eyes while having satisfied expression while chewing the bony esophagus. then after eating, he opened his red bloodshot eyes and stared at the mother. then he started moving again.

"stop! please sobs, please just let my daughter go! sobs. honey, you have to survive!"

"WAHHH MAMA PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!sobs WAHHH"

she stared outside and she saw the red sunlight and the red snow still falling. surprisingly there was no trace of any snow on the ground even though it has been snowing for quite a while now. she abandoned this thoughts, she pushed her daughter outside from the windows on the side of the jeepney. the girl fell on the ground while still crying. she saw her daughter one last time before the red man smashed her head open. she died smiling knowing that her daughter would survive because she believed that her daughter is a 'fighter'. her vision was dyed red because of the blood gushing out from her head, she closed her eyes and felt nothing anymore.

Nathan can barely saw what was happening inside the jeepney, but he knew that the red man bare handedly killed the two people inside the jeepney. while the kid was thrown out of the window.

"HEY, OVER HERE HURRY!"

Nathan shouted thinking that the girl would hear him, but it was just wishful thinking. the girl ran in the opposite direction. but before she can even take ten steps, she stopped then she started scratching different parts of her body before collapsing on the ground and started having seizures foam starts forming on her mouth before she stopped her seizures.

then it happened.

the girl got up her skin that was white as milk was now Scarlett red, her long black hair started falling out until there was nothing left. the. she ran so fast that it was unbelievable to thinks she is still a human. she then disappeared from Nathan's gaze.

FLOP

Nathan fell to the floor butt first looking like he just saw a ghost. his classmates saw him and wondered.

"Hey HEY! what happened?"

John, who was just standing to his right asked him.

Nathan looked at John then he looked at their professor still lying on the floor. and beside him, Annie is still sitting. Nathan cried out to Annie.

"Annie, get the hell away from him!. he- he's going to kill you!"

Annie gave him a baffled look then it turned to anger. what the hell is he thinking? why would prof kill me? this stupid man would do anything just to get my attention.

Annie already knew long ago that Nathan has a crush on her, but she didn't like him at all because of his lazy personality.

then it happened.

the professor's body started twitching again, then he opened his now red blood eyes then looked at Annie sitting on his left side. his skin color was now changing it became crimson red now. then he gripped Annie's wrist tightly.

"ahhh, Sir!"

the grip was so tight that Annie felt her bones breaking!.

"NOOOOOO"

Nathan saw this and screamed, it was now up to him to save his beloved Annie!
