The Rebirth System!

In the city of Primos, power is everything. In a world of humans with magical ‘abilities’, the strong survive and thrive, while the frail are left to suffer. Either you are born with a strong ability and you’re given the world. Or you are born a regular human, and you are given nothing. You have nothing. You are nothing. Brandyn Santiago, a regular-born citizen of Primos, is forced to endure the demoralising life in Primos and unsurprisingly, he isn’t able to keep his life through the brutal torture from the demonic beasts of the higher social classes. However, he is given another chance. He is reborn with an ability and, now, he has the chance to finally enact his revenge on those who caused him so much torment and anguish!

Jumping

"This one's big. If you do it, you'll be looking at 3 – 5,000 marks in compensation. You'll be masked and you will have an accomplice. He will be masked and you will know nothing about him. You will both have to take down someone who'll distribute a few kilograms of black cocaine."

"Be ready in four days. I will give you the equipment you'll need at this location: "

After this text, there was another message with a map that had highlighted an area in another random park.

"So that other outpost was dismantled? I think so.. 4 days until this big mission. If I have to be masked this'll be a big mission." Brandyn said.

He was scared of what the outcome could be but he was equally curious as to how big his benefit of completing such a mission would be.

In a dark and small room, only illuminated by a dim golden lamp, a single man sat in a black chair. He was large in his chair, being around 6'5. He had no shirt but was covered in a maroon robe, with golden and diamond rings glittering across his fingers.

"Carbine. What have I heard of you failing your last mission? Shark is a valuable member of the Golems." This man said, with a deep, booming voice.

He had his legs crossed over and his eyesight was sharp and focused directly on Carbine's eyes. This struck fear into his entire body but he made sure to not fall under the pressure from this spine-chilling being.

"Y-yes but I managed to get someone to join us. He was incredibly successful in his first mission and did exactly as he was told. I have him in another mission with Flavian, sir." Carbine said, with his head facing right down.

"Flavian.. the regular-born? He'll need assistance on his next mission. Is he a regular-born?"

"No and he has quite the ability, sir." Carbine said.

"Well. You have saved yourself from a serious punishment. I want to see this new member as soon as possible. I want to see if he is what you make him out to be." He said, laying back in his chair.

"Thank you, Sir Hercules. I thank you for relieving me of the punishment that I would've otherwise been forced to endure." Carbine said, with a sweating face and fake smile.

"Good. You are dismissed." Hercules stated, turning to view the Salham skyline that was beside him.

The following days passed swiftly for Brandyn as he anticipated this upcoming mission. He was barely able to pay attention to the lessons that he had in school. He seldom asked questions for these days but was more focused on his criminal activity instead.

"Will this be it. If I'm masked, the thing I will do will be so bad that I can't show my face." Brandyn thought to himself as the school day had come to an end.

The streets of Salham were bustling with people, who were hastily returning to their humble abodes. Some people flew in the sky, while many climbed across the rooves with their incredible strength.

Brandyn completed his daily quests and was now 20XP up from when he got the notification for this mission. He currently had amassed 45XP and he was very intrigued by the next notification that he was given.

[NEW QUEST!]

[Quest: Assault]

[You have been tasked with jumping a member of a rival gang. Be ready and complete your mission!]

[Rewards: 150XP, 1 Stat Point]

"Another stat point?! I might put it into strength this time. I can already feel myself getting much stronger so with this mission I can get even stronger than I am now. This is great!" Brandyn said to himself, awaiting the mission.

*vrmm*

The phone rumbled.

Brandyn eagerly opened the text message and was given even more details on the whole event.

"This second mission will be completed with another gang member, called 'Garuda'. He is the same rank as you and he will not know of anything about you until you first meet. This mission will take place at 43 Castillo Lane. You will given a dark jacket, a black balaclava, and you will have to jump a rival gang member. Take the black cocaine and it doesn't matter if he lives or not. He is around 6'1 and 185 lbs, with a lean build and tanned skin."

"Beware. These gang members may be equipped with physically enhanced equipment and weaponry. Do not be rash with your assault."

After a few more minutes of resting, Brandyn set off. This time, he had to take a new path and this path was just as awkward and peculiar as the last. He saw himself walking through several alleyways and once he had arrived at his destination, he was at an 'abandoned building'.

Initially, he was confused as he saw no entrance into the building. Since these outposts constantly changed place and activity had to be discreet, he knew that this was the building. Walking beside the building, he saw another entrance that was off the actual street but to the side of it.

So, he entered and was surprised to see a somewhat developed setup. There were a collection of weapons in a small room, which was labelled 'Armory'. To the side, was Carbine on his laptop.

"You've arrived on time again. Come here, there's your outfit." He said, pointing forward to a dark, leather suit.
