The Rebirth System!

In the city of Primos, power is everything. In a world of humans with magical ‘abilities’, the strong survive and thrive, while the frail are left to suffer. Either you are born with a strong ability and you’re given the world. Or you are born a regular human, and you are given nothing. You have nothing. You are nothing. Brandyn Santiago, a regular-born citizen of Primos, is forced to endure the demoralising life in Primos and unsurprisingly, he isn’t able to keep his life through the brutal torture from the demonic beasts of the higher social classes. However, he is given another chance. He is reborn with an ability and, now, he has the chance to finally enact his revenge on those who caused him so much torment and anguish!

Bravery

The pure, white moon emitted enlightening rays of moonlight through the impossibly dark night sky and down onto the large, glassy towers that were situated below. Lights could be seen through almost any window throughout the dense, highly populated city.

Skyscrapers were present in almost every direction. Buildings that reached as high as 500m tall while some were exceeding even the 1 kilometre mark. These glossy, scintillating buildings reflected the twinkling stars and the soothing moonlight from above.

In one of the bustling streets of Primos, a boy sluggishly strolled across the damp concrete below and did so with a terribly poor posture, causing his head to face straight to the floor. This boy, Brandyn, stood at 5'7 and was only 110lbs. He had visible bones that could be seen across his physique and his clear malnourishment could be seen by merely peering upon his face.

*ZOOM*

2 majestic blue streaks of energy appeared across the sky as the ground started to rumble lightly. A large, round airship blasted across the sky at supersonic speeds, causing these glamorous trails to follow behind it.

Brandyn slowly crossed past an alleyway and gave a keen glance into the corner. What he saw immediately released adrenaline throughout his entire body. His pupils dilated as he surveilled this ill-lit, dirty alley.

"You owe me 300 Marks! You better f*cking pay up!!" A large, burly gangster vehemently shouted, wielding a deadly steel-headed mace.

There was a tough, thick layer of shiny steel layered across his large musculature and what was striking about his frightening appearance was that his face resembled that of a humanoid rhino.

He possessed two wild, vibrating eyes that focused intently on his target, while he grasped more tightly onto his heavy mace.

"I'm sorry, I don't have the money. I can work overtime and get you guys what you need! I'm already working 80 hours, I'll work 100!!" The fearful victim claimed, practically hugging the wall behind him as his hands and back were so tightly pressed against it.

BAM!

The steel-coated man swung his mace across the man's face, causing several teeth to be coughed out from his bloody mouth. The area of impact was now visible as a bruise across the side of his face and the victim dropped down onto one knee, shakily holding his lower face in agony.

Brandyn, watching this, was overwhelmed with an accumulation of strong, colliding emotions. The passiveness inside him urged him to escape and run for his life. However, he had a certain odd thought about the situation. What life would he be running for?

A life filled with torment, pain, torture, suffering.

He quite frankly had little to nothing to escape back to. Watching with his head safely covered by his cotton red hood, his colliding emotions continued to destroy his mind. Another, more benevolent side of him said to save this poor, vulnerable victim. To put his worthless life on the line to protect another weakling like him.

It took him a brief moment but after this moment, his mind was dead-set, firmly determined to save this anonymous man.

Once he ran with his first stride, there was no turning back anymore. He continued adding more and more force into his strides until he was well into this hallway. The keen ears of the metal-man allowed him to almost immediately hear his slow, steady strides.

"This guy's so slow! He has to be a regular-born! Why would he even try and approach someone like me?!" This metal-man analysed in his mind.

The real surprise could be seen across his metallic silver face, since he had never really seen anyone of no ability try to attack him in a manner that he was currently observing. What the arrogant warrior felt from this, though, was a sense of injured pride since an ordinary human being was merely attempting to hurt him.

"You really think you can hurt me! You're f*cking trash!" He shouted out furiously, thrusting his mace towards the ordinary human with a swinging motion.

Watching the heavy, spiked mace travel towards his face, Brandyn involuntarily slammed his eyes shut in anticipation of the devastating blow that was steadily approaching.

WHAM!

The fortified spikes pierced their way through his skin and cracked his jaw bone, but this didn't waiver Brandyn's determination. He had already come to terms with losing his life, and now, all he wanted to do was let go of all his built-up rage in the last few minutes of his existence.

Seeing that he simply didn't pass out from the strike, the metal-man drove his left leg forward to slam the sole of his shoe into Brandyn's chest. For Brandyn, this attack felt like a colossal anvil was being dropped onto his chest.

"Don't worry, Ricardo! I'll take care of him!" One of the man's accomplices declared, walking ahead of him to further intimidate the weakened boy.
