How did Xiu'er know about the Heart Cleansing Spring of Western Wind Ethereal Sect? Well, as it turns out she didn't know about it. She was told about it. When Kun Shang was poisoned the only thing that could save him was the Heart Cleansing Spring and since they are coming here anyways, it could save him.

Xiu'er told them that they come here for a reason. It's just that she had no idea why. Kun Shang mentioned vaguely that he needed to find someone in this Sect.

Xiaogua, who knew Kun Shang the most, came up next to her in assistance. He greeted the Grandmaster then said that Kun Shang was searching for someone with very strong wind powers. They presumed there must be someone in the Western Sect that he knew but by the look of everyone's blank stare it was unlikely.

Master Quan, who was the only reliable person who had seen Kun Shang's face, confirmed that no one in the Sect knew him.

The Grandmaster backed it up that none of her students had left White Mountain in three years, which was during the Pugilistic of Martial Arts Conference. There was no way any of them would know Kun Shang if he was not famous, from martial arts, or a wanted criminal. Since the matter about Kun Shang cannot advance any further without him being here, the Grandmaster turned back to Xiu'er.

"I am still amazed that you were able to compel Master Quan to open the sacred Spring just by hearing a mere poem. She had actually acted rashly against the rules of the Western Sect so naturally she will suffer the consequences after everything is settled. You haven't answered my question, how did you know about our sacred tool?"

Xiu'er bit her lip, tilted her head and looked out of the corner of her eyes as if to really recall the memory from her conscience. She revealed to everyone what her brother had once mentioned to her. When he was 10 years old, he met a strange man who taught him chess and poetry. The man looked to be a scholar, he carried a bamboo flute wherever he went and he never stayed in one place too long. He told her brother about a sacred pool in White Mountain called the Heart Cleansing Spring that saved his life once.

It turned out that this man was the first person outside of the Western Sect to ever use the Heart Cleansing Spring. Master Quan lowered her gaze as all the Masters turned to her from the corner of their eyes. This new information had them all turn their attention towards Master Quan. Xiu'er, Xiaogua and Chun Yi followed their gaze even though they didn't understand why.

"Little Miss," one of the Masters spoke, "the man you speak of is a friend of Master Quan. Back then, Master Quan saved him by bringing him to the Heart Cleansing Spring and going against the Sect's rules. We didn't know about it until it was too late."

"We weren't able to get rid of him at that time, but we can still get rid of her!" The Grandmaster pointed at Xiu'er. Her voice echoed a cold air to the already freezing room. "Who would've thought that he left the Western Sect to yap his mouth everywhere about our sacred tools. That is why outsiders mustn't know our secrets, no matter what!"

Before anyone could soak in the underlying threat, a large force was blasted towards Xiu'er and she flew a couple of yards back. Xiaogua immediately stepped in front of her with his arms outstretched. At that same time, every student took out their swords and pointed at the three of them.

Xiu'er sat up with a palm on her chest and saw that the Grandmaster was holding a magnificent jade fan in her hands. She immediately recognized the Pacify Jade Fan, a grandmaster level weapon. If it weren't for her extremely strong internal energy, she would've died from that fan.

Xiu'er realized that all eyes were on her again, unblinking but containing small hints of shock. Almost as if they were waiting for something.

Her mind clicked. Of course! Grandmaster level weapon, farmer level of cultivation. They were expecting her to throw up blood.

She took her thumb and hit the dire acupuncture point on the side of her rib cage, which was hidden under her arm, and almost immediately some blood spilled out of her mouth.

Xiaogua begged them to reconsider their actions before the rest of the world hears about this and shame them for bullying the weak. A number of students started to surround Xiu'er and Xiaogua, glad to finish the job. Xiaogua looked to Chun Yi for help but she also had company of her own. One of the students called the attack and they came charging. Xiaogua wasn't ready for their attack and frantically looked around him for help. He looked down and saw the floor.

Ice!

He opened his palm towards the floor. The ice below the student's feet turned to a shallow pool of water just above their ankles. Xiaogua crossed his arms in front of him. The floor magically turned back to ice, trapping their footing in place. The next wave of students saw this and jumped in the air to avoid being captured the same way. Xiaogua panicked. What was he going to do next? He was determined to save Xiu'er and the both of them but he didn't know what to do anymore. What will he do? What can he do?

Suddenly, the floor ice around them turned into water again and rose to form an impenetrable water dome surrounding Xiaogua and Xiu'er, spitting out the nearby students. The dome was rotating in a violent manner. Xiu'er was going to compliment Xiaogua on the impressive defense, but he was on the ground with a screeching headache. The water began to spin viciously while expanding slowly.

When she realized that he wasn't actually taking control of it, she saw where his splitting headache came from. The same thing must've happened that night when they were trying to catch the giant catfish in the river. She crawled on her knees towards him.

"Take control of it!" Resting a hand on his back, she whispered into his ear. "You can do this."

However, it looked like the more he tried to overpower it, the more excruciating his headache became. Tears of pain rolled down his cheeks. Veins popped out on his neck and his face turned red. His fingers were pulling at his hair as if to release the pounding in his head.

Finally, an outside force flew from the entrance and broke the water dome into a pool of water at their feet. Xiu'er followed everyone's gaze behind her to a beautiful girl in crisp white robes standing outside the door. Xiu'er concluded that it must be her who broke Xiaogua's water dome.

"It's her!" Kun Shang's voice suddenly rang in the air.
