Siri studied Quinn. Is he not going to say anything? Elix was gone, so Quinn was the only one who could help her.

"Come on, I'll show you around," said Quinn.

"What about my things I brought in the saddlebags?" said Siri.

"Your things will be in your room as soon as possible. "

"There aren't many girls here. How many are here in the outer courtyard?"

"Forty-eight, forty-nine with you. There are about five hundred men who are outer disciples."

Quinn looked at Siri.

"You look like a goddess, have a voice like a goddess. I don't know how to act. Men in the sect are very protective of all the female cultivators in the sect. And I think it's safe to say that they will all fall for you."

Quinn didn't know why he had said what he had said. It was as if he spoke without thinking about what he was saying.

Suddenly, Siri and Quinn heard cries of despair from people a few hundred meters away.

"What's going on?"

Four-legged creatures with long sharp claws, overlapping scale armor in the same way as Armadillos. A shorter tail and neck with a head like a snake with saw teeth. The entire creature was black and had an oily texture. Big as lions.

"What's Zerzers doing here? I've only seen them in the Grey Land." said Siri.

Her voice was calm, but she felt afraid. They shouldn't be here. Where did they come from? Siri looked quickly at Quinn. He was terrified.

Siri counted them quickly to ten.

Several Cultivators had gathered around the Zerzers with weapons of solidified Qi. Swords and spears one had even created a shield. Nascent-realm cultivators. Siri couldn't do that yet as she was a Qi-realm cultivator. But she had the experience that no one else had. And she was likely the fastest here.

Siri had drawn her sword. A rune sword that everyone in the Wind-Sky Sect had regardless of cultivation level. When you don't have any Qi left to create Qi weapons, you still have the steel. It was something that everyone knew in the Wind-Sky Sect. It hadn't been created by cultivators because they couldn't draw or create runes. It was runemasters.

Siri started running towards the group fighting the Zerzers. Three of the Cultivators were already split open with entrails worn out and eaten. Someone had lost their head. Blood flowed in large puddles on the ground. But the rest of the group had been able to hold out with Qi weapons and physics pressure from telekinetics. They didn't know that their mental senses were weak. With mental pressure, they could be confused and incapacitated one by one. That was something Siri was going to do. Her Aura radius was only three meters so it would be difficult.

Siri thought about what Elix had said. Use every possible advantage you can get. But that was before what happened at the inn.

By the time Siri got to them, there were six Zerzers left. Siri wasn't the fastest, but when she twisted their minds, it didn't matter. Her sword cut through the shell-like it was paper. Siri moved smoothly between them. Blood spurted as Siri pulled the sword out of one of the monsters and then swung it with an undercut, chopping off the leg of another. Siri spun around with a kick aimed at its underside. It tumbled around and slid in the mud mixed with blood. Three of the monsters were dead, but there were still three left. Siri stood now in the middle with three monsters surrounding her. They had their full attention on Siri. They waited and were careful not to enter Siri's aura dome.

They must wonder if mental pressure would work on them, now that they were completely focused on her.

On the periphery, she saw Quinn with a Qi sword. He was fast, much faster than she was. That made her smile. In one swipe, Quinn had separated the head of one of the creatures and knocked another away with telekinetics. The third was charging at Siri, who had lost focus when Quinn arrived. She felt the pain as claws sliced through her top and into her chest down towards her stomach. Siri dropped her sword but managed to get out one of her three rune knives which she planted in the beast.

The next moment, all the Zerzers were dead and Siri was in the fetal position. Blood was pouring from her chest, but she was still circulating all the Qi that was left in her. A cultivator could heal herself by circulating Qi in her body. Without doing that, she was just an ordinary person.

The wound was deep but it had begun to close. In reality, Siri should have been dead, but her healing ability was many times better than any cultivator, regardless of realm.

Quinn was at her side, holding her and saying something she didn't hear. She had all the focus on circulating her Qi. But Siri smelled his scent of cedar and vetiver mixed with sweat, blood, and dust.

It hurt, but it wasn't unbearable. With the help of adrenaline and the euphoria of Qi, she was able to push the pain away. And she was enveloped by something warm and soothing. She wanted to burrow deeper into the warmth and the feeling of safety.

After a while, Siri looked up and saw Quinn. Siri didn't say anything at first, there was no need.

"Can you take me to my room?" Siri said in a weak voice. A faint voice like a summer breeze.

Siri closed her eyes and let Quinn carry her and, they left the bloody chaos behind them. The questions and hopefully the answers would come later.

Siri was so tired but, she was completely healed. But her clothes were ruined with dried blood and large tears.

Siri pressed herself closer to Quinn in his arms. She could feel his excitement and horniness. Siri giggled to herself.

He was getting more and more aroused.

He was so warm and strong. She had butterflies in her stomach and felt herself getting hot all over. Siri felt herself getting wet. She shook her head slightly. Now is not the time for that.

After a little while, they arrived at a room that would be hers. They went in and Quinn let Siri down gently and Siri felt how hard he was as she pressed her body against his. She gave him a quick kiss on his lips. He didn't even have time to react.

"You're sexy and, you make me wet. But we'll have to fuck some other time it's not the right time to do it now," said Siri.

Quinn blinked, not understanding what she had said at first.

He turned bright red and, Quinn stammered something unheard but, he straightened up and said.

"I'll ask a maid to draw you a hot bath and help you wash up." Quinn was still tripping over the words.

Siri thought it was all amusing. He walked out of Siri's room and walked like he was drunk.

'He's so cute.' she thought.

'If he hadn't been there, I wouldn't be alive today.'

Siri hadn't told him that and, she didn't think he knew it.

After a while, the maid came and helped Siri with the bath. It turned out that Siri had two rooms, one of which served as a private bathroom. The maid helped her with her hair and washing off all the blood and dirt.

"Your new clothes are on the bed, Miss." said the maid.

"Thank you. You can leave me now," said Siri.

The new dresses she was going to wear were on the bed. Red and black, the colors of the sect. Siri put on her dress.

The dress was knee-length, with a skin-tight red black top, long sleeves, and a high neck collar. But it had a deep neckline that exposed much of Siri's substantial firm bust.

The bottom was a knee-length skirt with double slits up to the hipbone.

Both her legs were exposed up to the hip. There wasn't much fabric hiding her bottom and abdomen. It was fortunate that there was a pink knee-length train.

'You can't wear this dress without your underwear showing. How am I supposed to fight in this dress?'

The dress was accompanied by knee-high leather boots, but they seemed to be fine.

Siri sighed and took off her dress to sleep. She was so tired. Siri crawled under the covers naked and, the sleep took her away.
