31 Interlude 4

The Four Great Seraphs were informed about the events of Peace Treaty held at the Town of Kuoh, which was also the birthplace of thier current meeting's subject.

"Alexander Kitagawa." Michael sighed and looked at his brothers and sister.

Gabriel lowered her face with an shy blush and quietly played with her fingers like an innocent girl in love.

"This boy." Uriel grumbled by clenching his fists, "How dare he kisses our sister, not to mention in front of everyone present at the conference!"

"Actually, it was our sister who did that, Uriel." Raphael tried to calm him down with a nervous smile.

"Who cares?!" Uriel whined and looked away by crossing his arms.

"That's brings us to the topic." Michael stated and grabbed everybody's attention, "Alexander Kitagawa is related to our father and creator, one way or another."

"He has the Avalon, that Gabriel mentioned about." Raphael nodded in acknowledgment, "What are we going to do about it? I mean, if he's truly someone who can operate the System, what decision do we make?"

"The System holds great power and even the potential to destroy the whole world." Uriel stated seriously, "Father had devised it on the first Heaven because he knew he would be gone one day."

"Its like he was able to predict his own death." Raphael nodded in agreement as Uriel made a solid point, "The System was customised by Father to deploy the Sacred Gears to the Human Race, so that they could defend themselves against the dangers of the Supernatural world."

"Generations of Heroes over the several past era were born in the Human kind." Gabriel stated in a tranquilizing voice by joining her hands together, "The System is one of the greatest reasons why Humanity has survived for so long."

"By any chance, could it be that Avalon was an Unique Sacred Gear suppose to choose the Human that could become the next God?" Raphael informed them about his theory.

"Then why would the System choose a Devil?" Uriel frowned.

"He might be a Devil-" Gabriel inhaled a deep breath, "But he's so pure and righteous. He has the power to do several things and create waves throughout the world, yet, he chose to stay oblivious and walk on a peaceful path."

"That's the reason, why I want to bring him to the first Heaven and show him the System." Michael stated in a grave tone, "If its a decision father has made, I don't want to delay it further than necessary."

"I have no objections." Raphael was the first to agree.

"You know my decision." Gabriel meaningfully nodded at her eldest brother.

"Ugh." Uriel sighed under the pressure and pursed his lips, "You need to be careful, big brother." He nodded at Michael in approval.

"Then the decision has been made." Michael nodded with a bright smile, "I'll be asking Alexander to come at the Heavens when he's free during his Summer Vacation."

"By the way, are the rumours true, Big brother?" Raphael curiously looked at Michael, "That, Asgard wants to be a part of our Alliance and some of the Olympus Gods are rebelling against the Treaty?"

"What do they have to with our matters?" Uriel frowned in confusion, because it was the first time he was hearing about this.

"The Asgard already have good relationships with the Devils and the Fallen Angels, so their participation is not a surprise." Michael answered with a straight face, "Where else, some of the Primordial Gods from Olympus think that we are plotting against them. First, the Reincarnated Devils and now the Brave Saints."

"The Olympian Gods have always treated the Human kind as their slaves." Gabriel nodded with a frown, "Several of the heroes in the past had to live a miserable life because of them, until eventually they were backed into a corner and made to leave into a different Realm."

"Though, they still hold a lot of power over the Old Greece and devoted by a good amount of Humans." Raphael pointed out, "They are Gods, its only obvious that Humans would look up to them for their own desires."

"A Majority of Humans look up to our father too." Uriel stated with a deep scowl, "Even if he's dead, Big brother is trying his best to answer their prayers through the System."

"All I can do is try." Michael sighed with a downcast expression, "The System is not compatible to me, so Alexander's presence could be a boon to us."

"Are you saying..?" Raphael was stupefied when he thought about the possibility.

"What?" Uriel frowned at the suspense.

"More of us could be created if Alexander is accepted by the System as the new God." Gabriel remarked with a light blush on her cheeks, "We might be able to recover our population."

"The creation of new Angels." Uriel was speechless.

"Its a process that consumes a lot of power." Raphael worriedly looked towards his brother, "It's the reason why Father was not able to create anymore than the Four Great Seraphs."

"We can worry about such things once Alexander is here." Michael answered and chose to drop the topic for now, "We have been notified by the Underworld about their recent discoveries of Khaos Brigade."

"They need our assistance." Raphael nodded in comprehension.

"As their allies, its our responsibility to help them." Gabriel remarked seriously.

"Honestly, I don't care as long as I get to beat some scums." Uriel grinned by smashing his fists together.

"Then I'll trust you to assist them, Uriel and Raphael." Michael nodded at his younger brothers, "You can take the Brave Saints along with you. I need to stay at the first Heaven to look after the System, while Gabriel would manage the Heavens in our absence."

Everybody voiced in agreement and moved to their tasks.

The Main Base of Operation for the Fallen Angels was located at Underworld as well, but on a different terrain compared to the Underworld that belonged to the Devils. Like how Earth had its several Factions, Underworld did as well.

Grigori was one of them.

Azazel had arranged all the four Sacred Gears that would be compensated to Sitri's pawn for the trouble that was caused in the town of Kuoh.

He could've offered a much better deal, such as the Artificial Sacred Gear he had developed with the soul of one of the Great Five Dragon Kings, the Gigantis Dragon Fafnir. While weaker compared to the Heavenly Dragons, the Sacred Gear had the potential to attain the Longinus title one day.

It was one of the Masterpiece Azazel had created. Though unfortunately, he could not tell if Fafnir would renew their contract in future or not.

"Azazel." Shemhazai called out as he entered the Lab of their Sacred Gear geek Governor General.

"Shemhazai." Azazel nodded.

"Everyone has gathered in the conference room and more importantly, the Queen of Sirzechs has discovered more information about the Khaos Brigade." Shemhazai informed seriously.

"Katarea, huh." Azazel knew that she would snitch, but this was way more sooner than he had expected.

"She has sweared subservience to Sirzechs' Son, Alexander." Shemhazai informed with a scowl, "I think he has made a rash decision by trusting the enemy so soon. Which worries me, because the information could be false and even a trap."

"Nah." Azazel snorted and simply shook his head. He gestured at Shemhazai to follow him as they left his lab and headed towards the conference room.

"You trust that Devil from the Old Satan Faction?" Shemhazai frowned in disbelief.

"Absolutely not." Azazel chuckled and smirked at his old friend, "The one I trust is her Master, that Overpowered Brat. You should've seen him, Shemhazai."

"Isn't that bad?" Shemhazai frowned at Azazel.

"It would've been." Azazel nodded in agreement, "But, he knows what he is doing and he's heading towards a path that's good for all of us."

"If suppose, the Slash Dog team were to fight-"

"Don't even think about it." Azazel interrupted him with a meaningful smile, "I don't know the full extent of his powers, but it's better off not challenging a monster who can make a monster like Ophis retreat."

"O-Oh." Shemhazai stuttered in comprehension and remember the details of the Invasion, "The Ouroboros Dragon has shown herself, huh."

"That's correct." Azazel replied to Shemhazai and nodded at the people who were sitting on the conference table. He noted that Tobio and Lavina were also present on the Round Table.

"Baraqiel, what are the reports from Maou Leviathan?" Shemhazai asked as everybody was now present to begin the conference.

"They have started raiding the Clans that are secretly the supporters of Khaos Brigade and the Old Satan Faction." Baraqiel replied, "The Knights of Alexander, former Exorcists Irina Shidou and Xenovia Quarta were seen on the front lines with Sirzechs' Peerage members."

"So they have already made a move." Tobio noted in astonishment.

"Sirzechs is pissed off that the Old Satan Faction wanted to abduct his son." Baraqiel remarked with a stressful sigh, "We should be glad he's not on the front lines, because that would've caused another Civil War amongst them."

"After the Alliance, that's not favourable to any of us." Shemhazai nodded in agreement, "Sirzechs knows and that's the reason he's one of their greatest leaders."

"What about our Ex-brothers and sisters?" Azazel asked with a cheeky smile and leaned back on his chair.

"The Heavenly Faction have deployed their battalion to help take down the Nebiros Clan base." Baraqiel answered with a firm nod, "They have released several mindless Chimera monsters and are trying to fight back against the alliance force."

"Oh, come on, we can't be left out, can we?" Azazel chuckled in response and stood up from his chair, "It would be good test run for the Dragon King Fafnir I've been working on for so long."

"Are you saying you're going to participate on the frontlines?" Shemhazai stood up and incredulously frowned at their leader, "Are you out of your mind?"

"We are too strong for them and it's just a clean up." Azazel carelessly waved off at his overly concerned general, "Baraqiel will be coming with me."

"What about us?" Tobio questioned by raising an eyebrow at Azazel, "We were hoping to get some action as well."

"No." Shemhazai frowned at Tobio, "Your team is our ace, which shouldn't be revealed so early in the war."

"So it's already a war." Lavinia smiled meaningfully.

"The Wizards of Grauzauberer won't participate as well." Shemhazai stated strictly, "This is just a clean up of the traitors in the New Satan Faction, we shouldn't even be concerned with this."

"But since Angels are showing support, we need to as well." Baraqiel stated seriously, "Everyone needs to try for this Alliance to work out."

"Whatever, I am heading out to get some air." Azazel stated with an careless smirk and expanded his wings, before flying out of the room's window.

"Wait for me, Azazel!" Baraqiel shouted and rushed after their reckless Governor General.

"These Chimeras are a piece of work." Xenovia grunted as she unleashed an powerful slash from her Durandal and brought the Devil Chimera down.

Okita Shouji, the Captain of the first Unit Shinsengumi, a special police force in Kyoto during the Shogunate period. Although now, after his death in the Boshin War, he was the only Knight of Sirzechs Lucifer.

"These are the Devils who used to work for the Nebiros Clan and even some of its members." Okita stated with a deep scowl as he looked at the Territorial lands of the Nebiros Clan, which was now turned into a battlefield.

Xenovia looked at Irina who was fighting a Chimera Devil alongside Enku, Sirzechs' one of two Pawns. Enku was originally a Qilin before he was turned into a Devil. His body resembled a tall horse, but had red flaming scales covering his body instead of Fur. Enku's face resembled a Chinese Dragon with two long horns on the top of his head.

They destroyed the Chimera with ease and that was the last of them in this territory.

"How many more of them are there?" Irina questioned with an irritated scowl as she approached Xenovia and Souji with Enku following by her side.

"These Chimeras are the weaker ones than the ones Zaorama Nebiros had deployed during his escape." Enku pointed out to them, "Their numbers are greater than we expected." He glanced back at the Hundreds of dismembered dead bodies on the Battlefield.

The lower class Devils accompanying them had already started the work of cleaning up the corpses and started creating a report.

"The Heavenly Faction are attacking the Nebiros Clan from the other side." Souji informed, "Our objective is to narrow their escape path and make sure these creatures don't spread out of their territory."

"Yeah, these things are worse than Stray Devils." Xenovia nodded in agreement, "Has Grayfia-san discovered where Diodara Astaroth is hiding?"

They had invaded the Astaroth mansion yesterday and rescued the Nuns and Maidens that were in his control. Thier minds and bodies were in a miserable state, which only enraged Xenovia even more.

"The Bastard knows that he'll be executed for his crimes, so it's possible that he has already escaped to the Old Satan Faction's territory." Enku replied, "The Underworld is big and divided into several part, just like the Human Realm."

"And we are yet to find out where these morons are hiding." Souji added with a nod, "We should head back for now and wait for the orders."

"What's wrong, Irina?" Xenovia asked by coming next to Irina when she saw the concerned look on her face.

"Ascalon." Irina glanced at the Sword in her hand, "It feels a little different than before."

"How?" Xenovia raised an doubtful eyebrow, "It could be possible that you're still getting used to the Sword, Irina. Even I am not able to wield the complete powers of Durandal yet."

"You're right." Irina laughed sheepishly, "Maybe I am just thinking too much."

"You both are incredible, no doubt." Souji remarked with a wise nod as he heard their conversation, "Your Sword skills are great and I could tell why you're so proud to be the Knights of my King's son."

"What are you trying to say, Souji-san?" Xenovia turned to face the middle aged Samurai with a confused look, "Are you perhaps trying to say we are weak?"

"You rely on your fancy swords too much, but maybe that's because of your lack of actual sword skills." Souji voiced in confirmation and smirked at the two Knights, "Skills, that matters the most."

Enku sighed as he knew what the Samurai was trying to do, "Souji-dono, its not a good time to be lecturing them."

"There's always time." Souji argued without looking at the Pawn, "Two on one and you still won't be able to defeat me." He looked at the girls in challenge, "If you're going to serve and protect my King's son, I have to make sure you're at least capable of-"

He parried the slash of Durandal that was slashed his way, but the impact still sent him drifting away into a distance.

"Again." Souji chuckled as the dust cleared around him, "You rely too much on the Power of your Holy Sticks." He elegantly moved his long Katana around his body and took his stance, "I had heard that you were able to defeat my student, so I have high expectations of you both."

"As if I need your approval to serve my Master." Xenovia snorted in response and clenched her sword while facing the Samurai, "But I am still going to kick your ass for doubting my skills."

"Everyone." A cold voice grabbed their attention and they turned to see the Strongest Queen present before them.

"Grayfia-san." Irina called out and cheerfully rushed towards the maid, while the other Devils were simply frozen by her presence.

"Xenovia-san." Xenovia also called out and stood straight in a relaxed manner.

"I was wondering why you guys are not back yet." Grayfia stated and glared at Souji, "What are you doing, Okita?"

"I wanted to test the skills of these two courageous girls." Souji replied nervously, "As a Swordmaster, I couldn't help myself, Grayfia-san."

"I can understand, but it's not the time, nor the place to be playing around." Grayfia stated seriously, "You all can report at the Headquarters, I'll be taking these two back with me."

Grayfia created a teleportation circle with her Magic and both Irina and Xenovia stepped inside of it, before they disappeared from the place.

"What were you thinking?" Enku questioned by giving the Samurai a doubtful look.

"They are already stronger than most High-Class Devils and they are still humans." Souji replied by glancing back at the blazing Horse with a meaningful smirk, "I wonder what monsters they would become after they officially become his Knights."

"Possibly, strong enough to defeat you at your full strength?" Enku curiously tiled his head, "I am curious to know what our Young Master is like. I've heard he's strong, though that doesn't matters to me."

"He's the one I am looking forward to meet the most." The Samurai laughed in response.
