[Mature Content: No rape.] "What do you know about love?" She asked, her lips thinning as his grip tightened around her neck. "What do you know about hate, Sunshine?" He countered, his voice low and laden with intensity. "What do you want from me?" She gasped, her eyes flickering with a mix of fear and defiance. "Everything..." His breath was heavy against her skin as he drew closer, his lips finding hers with a softness that belied the intensity of his words. "I want you, your stubborn soul, your closed heart... Smiling faintly, Gwyneth gazed at her reflection in the mirror, her eyes tracing the elegant lines of her gleaming white ball gown that perfectly complemented her lustrous platinum blonde curls and porcelain skin.

As she stood up, her grasp on the gown was gentle, yet uncertain, reflecting her doubts about attending the charity ball. Her gaze drifted towards the door, questioning whether she was truly ready for the evening ahead.

That being said, there was still a great deal of expectation to see her because it was evident that her presence in Calidra had been publicised.

"Your Highness, I do not think it is a good idea to attend the ball," Madison, who was currently tidying up the chamber, nervously said.

Gwyneth grinned. She was relieved that the bite mark on her neck had disappeared. She did not want Madison asking her embarrassing questions.

"We will return to the capital at dawn." She said, letting go of her dress.
