[Mature Content: No rape.] "What do you know about love?" She asked, her lips thinning as his grip tightened around her neck. "What do you know about hate, Sunshine?" He countered, his voice low and laden with intensity. "What do you want from me?" She gasped, her eyes flickering with a mix of fear and defiance. "Everything..." His breath was heavy against her skin as he drew closer, his lips finding hers with a softness that belied the intensity of his words. "I want you, your stubborn soul, your closed heart... Just human

Gwyneth blinked, her face pale as a wild storm of confusion and shock swept through her.

"What do you mean this is my 15th life? Why do I only recall my previous one?"

Sirius sighed. "I struck a bargain, a hidden agreement that allowed you to retain memories of your past life."

Gwyneth shook her head, laughing in disbelief. "So, I've lived... fifteen times? And erm.. did I... did I die a horrific death each time, just like my last life? I mean, my fourteenth life?"

She choked back a giggle, her voice trembling with mirth. "Oh, this is just too much to wrap my head around!"

Sirius swallowed tensely. "I'd rather not say..."

"Tell me, Sirius." She cut in sharply, tears filling her eyes.

"Yes." He surrendered with a heavy breath

Gwyneth laughed, shaking her head. "I think I made a terrible mistake. You kept this secret for a reason.. I shouldn't have pushed you to reveal it."
