Chapter 2: The End Has Begun

Angelo was visibly in shock, to the point where he couldn't move a single joint in his body. He looked at the sky with fear and shock as the dark sky turned crimson red. The moon lit up with red as well as it signified the start of [The Earth's End].

"It's really happening...it's real." Angelo said in a out of hope tone.

Looking away from the sky and onto the other tenants, they all had the same expression and reaction. All of the civilians in the vicinity were shockes beyond movement. They were like marble statues, perfectly keeping their shocked and scared expression.

However, Angelo decided to snap out of it. He slapped both of his cheeks with his two palms, making his cheeks glow a shade of pink. He still remembers what happens in the first chapters clearly. Knowing this, he deccided to run towards a direction away from his room.

'It'll be a massacre here! I have to get to high ground!' His thoughts rang.

A 2nd story building wasn't enough for him. The Pepe apartment complex didn't meet the high story requirements, so he left in a fast pace, and because he has somewhere to be, a place where he thinks his the most safe as a status window appears

An option window appeared infront of Angelo as he ran. He ran and ignored it for a while since he needed to make sure about something first before picking out an option. Angelo remembers that certain weapons can be obtained in the first chapters of [The Earth's End] and has to confirm if it's there or not.

He ran away and arrived on to the highway. As soon as he arrived there, he ran to the left towards the direction of a mall. Angelo didn't have enough time be he has to be there. A great weapon was there to be obtained and he needs it.

The timer was slowly ticking away, but this was just enough time to reach the mall. SM Constellation Mall. The mall located on where he is. He ran and ran without stop as his breath began to grow heavy. With each step, his stamina was depleted until he reached the mall.

Angelo only had a minute left now. Seeing this, his option window showed up again, pushing him to pick a weapon for himself. Angelo still rejected the offer because he wanted to make sure of something first.

And after a few seconds, he arrives at the top. The item he needed was there and it was...a piece of garlic. He picked it up as a status window appeared.

[Obtained: Garlic Emblem]

[Effects: Vampiric Repellent]

This was what he wanted. The bloody sky and bloody moon. Both represented what the 1st disaster's monsters wanted. Blood. And the monsters who wanted blood the most was vampires, but it weren't normal vampires. It was a sub-species of vampires.

"Now...I can finally pick a weapon." Angelo said.

An option window appeared as it displayed the choices. He pressed one of the buttonsbuttons. A bow and alot of arrows appeared, but he snapped one arrow into a long stake of wood, getting ready for a fight.

"Blood sky and blood moon. Both dangerous events in [The Earth's End]. This all that I can do. I have to survive."

[Disaster: "Vampiric Nightmare" Begins!]

And right on cue, vampires began to appear. However, it weren't any regular vampire. The baggy clothing were not present and was replaced. The common vampire of a tall and fancy man, was replaced by flying, half-bodied vampires with long tongues. These weren't vampires. These were known as (Aswang).

[Info: A sub-species of vampire or ghouls that splits itself in half and uses it's thin and long tongue to devour fetuses and drink blood.]

Angelo, now prepared with a makeshift stake and the garlic emblem, knew he was safe, but he needed to make sure his completely safe and go somewhere that cannot be accessed that easily. The one garlic emblem can only fend them off for so long.

So, he decided to just stay in the mall and stay put. He didn't want to die after all. It was idiotic to stay in the open where flying, half-bodied vampires were flying all about, but he was still worried about something.

Now that Angelo basically knows that the world is following the novel's [The Earth's End] plot, he thinks of a way to get the main casts of the novel. Especially, the main characters. The main cast group is his key to go through this story, and his help to find out what the author wanted him to know with the last chapter of [The Earth's End].

"An hour and fifty-nine minutes. The worst of this Disaster will happen at around the one hour and 30 minute mark...the time when they get here."

With that said, Angelo stayed. The [Garlic Emblem] wasn't the only reason why he came to the SM Mall in Constellation. No, this was where the main cast would meet. The reason that the main cast even survived was because they accidently obtained the [Garlic Emblem] when they came here for shelter from the [Aswang] so, Angelo plans to wait for them to arrive.

Angelo sat down on a nearby bench, now fully realizing the situation. To think that his favorite novel would be made into reality. He was both scared and excited...just like the main character of the novel.

"...This world will end, just like the title of the novel. More disasters that are harder than the other will come. All I can do now is survive and hope for this to end."

He said to himself, but he knew to himself, the earth will inevitably end and he will end along with it, one way or another. Like in [The Earth's End], the earth has come to it's end. Angelo knew he'll be dead, because he wasn't the main character, only similar to him...He is a reader.
