• Battle From Above, Below And Within

Talon exerted his utmost effort to stay ahead of the flock of Cranebirds, but they were extremely fast, speeding closer to him in attempts to snatch him from the air.

Watching with trepidation, Spheris's heart filled with fear. "Talon, get down!" he ordered the persistent bird. "Get down!"

"Spheris, look out!" Both Cerene and [Umbric Intuition] warned Spheris of the fast approaching attack, yet he was quick to react to none. Nero managed to duck, but the tail flogged Spheris clean of the earth, launching him airborne, hurtling off the cliff and down to the river below

Fleetly, he conjured [Embrace Of The Dark] and sent the tendrils to the bridge, wrapping it around a wooden frame. He looked above and saw the Cranebirds swooping in to join the battle. Some dove right at him, finding him to be easier prey.
