Chapter Sixteen: Rebirth

Terron’s POV

“She’s uncomfortable,” I groan, helping Gustav lay Kinsley on her side, in the soft grass, as her muscles constrict and her eyes seal shut. “You said she wouldn’t be in pain.”

My wolf is angry for letting me allow this, the obvious unease of our mate whimpering as the healer brushes his hand over her forehead. He closes his eyes, opening them seconds later to watch me as I hold back from throwing him through the woods and bringing relief to Kinsley.

“She’s in no physical pain, just emotional,” Gustav says, pulling my wrist forward and pressing my hand on her temple, beside his gentle touch. “Open the mind link, just be careful.”

“Careful of what?”

“It’s a lot to handle, Alpha.”

I dive deep into the trust I have for this healer, running my fingertips into Kinsley’s long, vermillion hair while I shut my eyes and inhale a calming, stalled breath. The mind link is easy for me to navigate, so I reach out, absolutely slammed in response.
