XX SCORPIONS VIII

Eshi didn't know what her expectations were of this place, however her current circumstances were defiantly not the most appealing.

Looking up, she saw the endless peaks that disappeared through the clouds. She gulped as she fiddled with the ring on her finger.

Earlier before she got off the carriage, Ankuj had handed her a ring and a blue bracelet.

The ring was filled with unlimited pile of food, several wash kits and hundreds upon hundreds of water bottles. She had wondered why she'd need that much water, however now she knew the reason.

Meanwhile the blue bracelet was given…because it was pretty, it was a good luck present from Ankuj!

Eshi huffed as she walked along the dry desert valley.

The Iwanokawa was strange, half of the place could be covered in snow while the other half was a scorching desert.

Now Eshi was nearly at the halfway point of Iwanokawa where snow met sand.

Nevertheless, at current it was still the desert, but the heat luckily wasn't that blazing.

"Uagh!" She brushed the strange looking plant that was blocking the path away from her, was she really going to be able to find the portal by herself?! She clearly had overestimated her capabilities!

Earlier she had thought that Ankuj would be accompanying her in finding the portal, however to her utter dismay he had smiled at her filled with warmth before telling her that students weren't allowed on Iwanokawa soil plus talking about the location of the portal was a taboo that would be rewarded with heavy punishments.

Although she had received teleportation talismans if she had enough of trying to find the portal, which had been explained to her to how its used, she was without a doubt now scared.

What happens if she runs into some wild beasts, or…or what happens if she slipped down the mountain and broke her neck?!

Shivering Eshi really wanted to cry as she stepped over a large tree root. She…she really didn't think this through, she…she'd read too many books, to the point that her mind has become muddleheaded!

Lucky it was still light, there wasn't enough information about Iwanokawa, and even if there were Eshi had been too rash in leaving hence she didn't get the chance to read them.

Sighing she continued her hike, she'd lived two lives, why was she getting more stupid by the day?

"EEKKKK!" A horrified scream sounded before a figure could be seen to be dashing from behind her. Eshi turned around as she stared wide eyes at the young girl who was running towards her…while what seemed to be a bunch of scorpions following behind her.

Scorpions?!

Eshi watched wide eyes, shocked as her body began paralysed with fear. Was she going to die again? No! She didn't want to die!

Past images flashed through her eyes, as her vision was dyed blood red. Blood…so much blood.

Red hair swirled in her vision...blood…as red as her hair…

Su Li who had been in Vubril less than an hour ago, had kissed her father and mother goodbye before she had been teleported by the system to the supposed point as to where the female lead was, had instead been dropped into the largest giant desert scorpion nest in the whole of Iwanokawa.

She cursed system ten times repeatedly as she avoided the tail strikes, her back was drenched in cold sweat as she ran. She wants a new system!!! This one wasn't responsible!!

Seeing the figure that was in front of her just standing there looking like an idiot, Su Li screamed, "RUN YOU MOFO, YOU WANNA DIE?!"

Having been yelled at Eshi was shaken awake, before she realised that the little girl with red twin pigtails and the scorpions weren't that far away.

She turned around before beginning to run also.

The corner of Su Li's eyes twitched, was this really the pure and justice filled female lead she had created?! Why was this one so hateful, little girl come back and be the snacks of these scorpions!

Never mind, the main issue now was how to get rid of these beasts!

"System get your ass out here, gimme something to repel against these scorpions!" Su Li yelled in her head as she jumped over a tree root.

The familiar pink phone popped up as it leisurely floated beside Su Li.

System seemed to have gone silent for a few moments before a pouch popped out of thin air. Now what's this?

Su Li silently sniggered before taking the pouch. She had a difficult time opening it since she was running, however once she opened it, a puff of smoke blinded her causing her to nearly trip before a strong sense of cinnamon whiffed out.

Is this really gonna work, or are you asking me to bake you a cake?!

System hinted before it disappeared.

Su Li bit her lips, you give me one small pouch of cinnamon and disappear on me?

But…system still needs her to fix this world, it wouldn't be that heartless to abandon her like this…right?!

Agh! Taking the risk Su Li looked back and threw the bag onto the scorpions.

The leapt away from the attack!!

Oh lord, she was going to die today!!!

However, something amazing happened, so amazing to the point that Su Li nearly got onto the floor and cried. The small pouch which had missed its target busted open after touching the ground. Orange ropes emerged from the bag and quickly winded themselves around all the scorpions stopping their movements.

Su Li slowed down her running when she saw their restricted movements. She breathed heavily as she watched the scorpions being slowly melted by the cinnamon, black liquid dribble down the ropes before dripping onto the sand.

Not too long after, everything vanished, scorpions and the ropes.

"Uagh! Amazing!"

She didn't know when this female lead-sama had gotten there, but she was looking at the whole scene with excited eyes.

Hey kid, can I kill you?

Eshi, who was completely ignorant to the hatred that the game designer had towards her watch the fantasy situation before her.

Before she had been running for her dear life however out of her curiosity she had turned around and caught the moment where orange ropes had wounded themselves around the scorpions before melting them.

This older looking girl must be a powerful magician!

"Miss, you're amazing!"

Su Li's lips twitched as she looked at the young girl who seemed to be wagging her tail as she looked at her.

Really, why did she create something so annoying.

She looked to the side at the never-ending valley.
