Sara Hopewell is a timid woman, with a torturous past. She escapes from Tom, her abusive ex-lover, after learning of a deep dark secret that he has kept hidden from her. Tom is now on the hunt for her - searching for her - and he will not stop until he finds her. Seeking a way out, she enlists the services of Derek Walberg who can put the odds of survival in her favor. If she truly wishes to escape her past, she must agree to be bound by the terms of his proposal, which will ultimately turn her world upside down. As Sara learns to develop confidence and test the boundaries around her, she begins to wonder if the proposal she shares with Derek is more than what it appears to be. Could it be love?
