Well, the MC in the other book's name is Eddard Baratheon, and for some reason, he managed to conquer Westeros and the west of Essos to the Bone mountains.

Eddard went mad before he could achieve his dream and his brother Stannis sacrificed himself to save the realm. Stannis ended up dying while Eddard disappeared in Blackwater Bay with his dragons.

His wife was Ashara Dayne, and this Eddard killed her to purify his blood and become a dragon rider with his children.

Eddard had seven children from Ashara:

Raymont Baratheon: The eldest son and the new emperor of the Storm Empire,

Axel Baratheon: The second son who married Margaery Tyrel and established a new branch family in The Reach, Axbaratheon,

Lyonel Baratheon: The third son who married Sansa Stark and died during the invasion of the Night King, has twins with Sansa Stark, the first is Eddard Stark, who became the lord of the North, the second is Arthur Baratheon, who become the lord of Riverlands and established a branch family, Arbaratheon,

Orys Baratheon: The fourth son and Lyonel's twin who married Myrcella Baratheon-Lannister, established a branch family in the Westerlands, Orbaratheon,

Theresa Baratheon: The first daughter who was betrothed to the Martels but ended up dying on the hands of a scheme made by Cersei and a mole,

Wilyam Baratheon: The fifth son who married Arya Stark and traveled to the west in order to find a new land for him and achieve his dreams,

Jasmine Baratheon: The second daughter who was betrothed to Robin Arryn but escaped from Westeros after finding out what happened to her father, she went to Sothoreos after promising to avenge her father, and no one saw her again
