Chapter 2 The Princes of Moonhaven

Prince Kelans POV:

“Sons, today is the day you make me proud. You will go out and check on the daily life of the kingdom”, our father, King Blake says. “But father-!,” I say, knowing he knows just as well why we hate the Kingdom. “No buts! I won't hear of it! You will rule this kingdom in my stead someday, you will be a King and I expect you to act like it! Now go, the carriage is waiting for you.” I glare at my father as I was walk with my twin brother, Kendrick, out to the carriage. I can see he is about to explode.

“Father knows we hate the Kingdom but still makes us do this!,” Kendrick yells as we get in the carriage. “I know but all we can do is as he says,” I say to him, hoping he will at least calm down during the ride. Just as I say that the driver yells back at us, “First stop is the The Rosemoon Province, my Princes.” My first thought is this is going to be a long day.

Prince Kendricks POV:

My twin Kelan and I are both Princes of Moonhaven. Our mom, the Queen, was only expecting one child. Though when the people were told the King and Queen got two children, two twin boys to be exact, the Provinces were in an uproar.

Father says it was a happy celebration but of course there was the problematic situation of who would rule. Well our father, since he's the King, said we would both rule the kingdom together. This was a rare case considering we were twins. Most people didn't like it and said that Kelan should rule as he is the oldest by at least a minute an a half. Though due to us being identical twins the majority of the council voted on us ruling together saying it would be too hard to tell who was who. Anyways, the ruling together was a positive thing since me and Kelan have always liked sharing from bedrooms to toys to now ruling the kingdom. We both looked forward to it since ruling alone would be a disaster for us.

Now though we are on a tour of our Kingdom. Father knows the reason we hate it: the minute we step out we are surrounded by the many fan girls who think by dressing up, putting on makeup, and pushing their bosoms in our faces then we will like them. No, as a matter of fact, we hate that. Father says it is good for us. That the many girls show we are likable. We would prefer to be likable just as regular people then show ponies. Then there is the other reason: many people hate me. Many of our subjects think I stole Kelans reign away from him just by being born. I am called many names from the vulgar name of bastard yet still rude name of pig. Yet here we are now, stuck on this trip and hopefully it will turn out to be a good day.
