Masks

You're pretty cruel,

Aren't you, God?

You're pretty dependent,

Aren't you, Miss Co-dependent?

You're pretty dead inside,

Aren't you, Mr Living?

We all wear masks to hide ourselves from what we truly are.

Even I wear one.

Hiding myself behind what society wants me to be.

Who my parents want me to be.

But I think it's time

To take those masks off.

And embrace what we trult are.
