Chapter 0: Prologue

The world of Chuxun is a place where cultivators are as numerous as the leaves on the trees. There are six levels of cultivation. The inner control phase, the manifestation stage, the authoritarian stage. It is at this point that a cultivator will no longer need sustenance and will become immortal cultivators. The realms after the authoritarian stage are: body forging stage, meridian forging stage and soul forging stage. 

Each realm is separated into two minor realms, the mist stage and liquid stage. At the beginning of the realm, cultivators are in the mist minor realm and at the later stages they are in the liquid realm. There are a variety of different cultivation techniques, some are more powerful than others and the most powerful techniques are given to the nobility and the least powerful are given to the peasants. In this way the peasants can be controlled by the nobles. Cultivation is when a person pulls Qi from their surroundings into their core and then release their Qi in different ways like attacking, depending on their elemental affinity. 

Every child is required to be trained in the art of cultivation. Their training must be provided by cultivators from their hometown. They start their training at 16. They train for three years. Afterwards they are sent to the army for four years. This is because of the conflicts that erupt between the five kingdoms of Chuxun. The five kingdoms are: the Jin Kingdom which is the smallest and weakest. the Rei kingdom, the Sai Kingdom, The Lin Kingdom and finally the Ye kingdom which is the most powerful kingdom, it is also allied with the Jin kingdom because the Jin princess married the Ye kingdom's prince. The protection agreement is not without clauses however as the Jin kingdom has to send 1000 of its most promising young combat cultivators to the Ye kingdom to help them in their ongoing war against the Lin and Sai kingdoms.
