He Xiyan looked at the woman in front of her and pursed her lips. A flash of emotion crossed her eyes for a brief moment before she composed herself. 

This incident was not part of the past. Even if it had been deliberately staged as Han Xue had claimed, this showed that she was not a good match for Ye Hao because he did not trust her at all. She could not handle his temperament either. The emotional abuse and his aloofness toward her back then made her feel very helpless and alone during her time at the Ye family. 

Thankfully, she had divorced Ye Hao early which put an end to the pain they both inflicted on each other.

Han Xue's eyes widened in surprise. She was surprised to see that He Xiyan hadn't been angered by her words earlier.

"Aren't you angry?" Han Xue asked in confusion. She didn't understand why He Xiyan looked so calm and composed.
