Shall we eat together

The morning air held a crispness that hinted at the changing of seasons as the luxurious car glided towards the familiar gates of my school. As the vehicle slowed to a halt, I glanced out the window, taking in the sight of the ivy-covered walls and sprawling grounds that had been my sanctuary for years.

Arriving rather early, as was my habit, I found the school grounds bathed in the soft glow of dawn, the tranquility of the morning lending an air of serenity to the familiar surroundings. Few students had yet arrived, their numbers sparse compared to the bustling crowds that would soon fill the halls.

With a sense of resignation, I made my way to my classroom, the weight of the day's responsibilities already settling upon my shoulders. Entering the room, I found it empty, the desks arranged in neat rows, the morning light filtering through the windows casting long shadows across the polished floor.
