28 Chapter 28

Princess Liviana's POV

"What do you mean?" I asked. Did I hear him right? Who stole his future Queen?

He stayed silent for few minutes before responding to my question. "Ignore what I just said. How long are you going to stay here?" He asked as he changed the topic. I felt relieved when he decided not to answer my question. I can tell that it was related to me. I don't want to feel awkward towards him, and I hoped I just misheard him.

"We will stay for two weeks. How about you? How long are you going to stay in your kingdom? Is it for good?" I asked.

"I will be staying for good. My father told me that I am taking over as the King, and I should find a future wife as soon as possible." He said, smiling.

"I hope you'll find her soon. I think it's time for my brother to be married as well. I want to meet his future wife." I said while gazing at the sky. I believed my brother will be a good husband. I just hope that he will find a girl he truly wants to be with for the rest of his life. I wish our mother won't interfere in his son's happiness.

"Your husband looked pretty possessive towards you." He points out. "Since it's just an arranged marriage, I am not expecting that he will react that way. Does this means he already has feelings for you?"

I shook my head as I chuckled. "Yes, he is possessive, but I don't know if he already has feelings for me."

"What are you, seven years old? You cannot be possessive to someone you don't love." He explained.

I rolled my eyes at him. "So, did you learn about love as well?" I said mockingly.

"You'll learn it through experience. You'll know more about it too as the days passed by. Also, we have the same gender, so I know why he acted like that." He explained.

"All right, I got it." I answered. "I think I need to head back. My husband is probably in his wolf-like-temper already." I joked. He smiled and nodded in response. I walked inside alone as I exhaled. "Is explanation enough for my husband to calm down?" I whispered to myself as I walked going back to our table. My eyebrows knitted when I found my brother talking to him. They looked serious.

"Did I miss the exciting part?" I asked as I sat down beside my husband.

"Where is Andrew?" Prince Elias asked. "Did you have a good talk?" He asked.

"I left him outside. He just asked how I am doing." I answered.

"Why did you head back already?" He asked again.

"I remembered my husband." I saw how Conrad's eyes widen; he must be shocked. Well, I can be blunt sometimes. "I don't want him to miss me, so I came back immediately." I said as I teased him.

"You were delusional." Conrad blurted out with a straight face. "You are so full of yourself. Whose wife are you?" He asked insultingly. I chuckled at his remarks. His sense of humor appeared from time to time.

"My husband is none other than the most possessive and most hot-tempered guy in this castle." I said.

"What? Who's possessive?" He asked angrily.

"Is he serious with his question, little sis?" My brother asked. I don't know why he is staying here with us. He must tire mingling with every guest he has.

"I am damn serious. Who will get possessive with this kind of wife?" Conrad asked my brother.

"My sister is the most beautiful, most talented, most sexy, most understanding, and the kindest girl you will ever meet in your entire life." I laughed as he said every compliment he can think of. Of course, those are not true. It goes with the saying nobody is perfect.

"You're too proud of your sister, aren't you? You'll get disappointed when you found out that she farts every morning the moment she wakes up." Conrad announced with a smirk on his face.

"Jerk. It's you who farted every damn morning." I said, irritated.

"I've been sleeping with her since she turned seven years old, and I know that you're lying. You better think of a better excuse though you will lose at the end. My sister is too perfect for you." Prince Elias backed me up again with his fancy words.

"How should I win on this argument?" He said as he puts both hands up.

"You should've brought Connor with you." I said as I chuckled.

"That's a bad idea. He might take your side and argue with me." He said.

"I figured. Connor loves teasing and provoking the hell out of you." I said.

"Your mood changed. Is it good talking to that guy?" Conrad asked in a serious tone. I immediately looked at him, there's a hint of irritation in the way he speaks.

"We are not closed before he left. I was shocked also when he approached me." I said, smiling.

"Did he ask you to leave me and marry him?" My eyes widen in disbelief. What is this guy saying? What is with the sudden change of mood? Is he mad?

I shook my head. "Of course not. Why would he do that? He is like a brother to me." I explained, his eyes showing anger. "And I'm not going to leave you. What were you thinking?" I asked worriedly. His facial expression softens, but I can sense that he is still mad.

"I don't have any idea until today that my wife is very popular with men." He said. I can sense the sarcasm in the way he speaks.

"I don't know what you're saying. What has gotten into you?" I asked. I felt uneasy about this topic. "Brother, what happened to him? What were you talking about before I got back?"

"Nothing to be worried about, sister. I will get another bottle of wine." Prince Elias announced as he left us. What the heck?

I looked at Conrad, who I found pinching the bridge of his nose. Not again. "Let's make a baby." My jaw dropped at what he just said. My heart beats abnormally.

"What the hell are you blabbering about?" I asked furiously. I perked up and followed my brother to get a bottle of wine. I heard him cracking up. Is he crazy? I don't get his sudden change of mood. He should see a doctor.
