1275 The Savior

From the sounds, Dan could tell that there were three Dragxtarns who entered the room where they were hiding. The light from the flashlight suddenly illuminated the pile of boxes where Lydia was hiding, in reflex, Lydia and Dan lowered their heads in haste.

"Where's the light switch?" complained one of the men.

"I'm looking for it, okay!" the other man replied peevishly.

Dan and Lydia look at each other in fear, knowing it will be over for them when the lights are on. They suppressed the shiver then all of a sudden Owen groaned softly and their hearts stopped! Lydia immediately covers Owen's mouth but it is too late.

"Do you hear that?"

"Yeah, it's coming from here," the man pointed his flashlight to Dan and Lydia's hiding spot.

Lydia's hands trembled as her heart clenched with dread, meantime the enemy's footsteps got closer and closer. Dan clenched his fist, he had to make a decision right away if he wanted to save Owen and Lydia.
