256 Back again

After seeing that Tom had successfully revived Voldemort, Arth realized that he couldn't waste any more time and cut his ropes with a hidden dagger and took out a watch. He pressed a button on the side and watched as the second hand started spinning fast before putting it away.

Arth then put away his wand and raised his fists.

"Since there is an anti magic barrier, how are we gonna do this? Fists or kicks?"

Tom let out a laugh as Voldemort cracked his neck and got comfortable with his body.

"Arth, do you really think noble beings like us would devolve to fighting like muggles? You are much too naive?"

Arth raised his eyebrows. "So are we taking down the anti magic barrier? Good."

Tom shook his head again. "Wrong again Arth. Try again Arth… I know your clever little mind can come up with an answer. Want a hint?"

"I'll pass. It's insulting to my intelligence to rely on a mere memory for help." Sneered Arth as he calculated everything.

Under an anti magic barrier, all forms of magic available would be negated for everyone within. Thus, the only way to fight would be through physical means. However, Arth was pretty sure he could beat two wizards who had probably relied on magic for everything in a fist fight. He also knew that Tom knew that Arth was stronger than him physically as he saw Arth tango with… that beautiful giant basilisk-

Arth took a deep breath as he remembered the painful death of a majestic beast.

Anyways, knowing Tom, Arth knew that Tom would have something else planned to beat him.

But how would he do that? Only way to beat up Arth would be to-

Arth started to pale.

Tom smirked. "You figured it out didn't you Arth? As expected from my one and only rival."

"This little boy is nothing compared to Dumbledore," Voldemort snidely commented. "Although as expected of my younger self to struggle with less crucial problems."

"Shut up older self," Tom scoffed. "At least I wasn't the one who died to a baby boy."

"It was a fucking ancient piece of magic? How the fuck was I supposed to predict that something as stupid as love-"

Arth whipped his cloak around and grabbed a dagger that was hidden on his body before throwing it at Voldemort.

Voldemort nonchalantly tilted his head to the side and dodged the dagger as Tom smirked. "It seems you are panicking Arth. How amusing-"

However, Arth didn't let Tom and Voldemort distract him and quickly charged in to attack once more. Another dagger was in his hands now as he swung towards Voldemort. Time was precious.

Voldemort flinched and took a step back quickly to avoid the blade as lunged forward to stop Arth, when Arth stopped his blade for a quick instance and turned it around to Tom.

The blade plunged deep into Tom's shoulder and tore into bone but Arth's face became even more grave as he abandoned his dagger and leapt back.

"I'm a memory Arth. You can't hurt me with just a knife. Next time, bring the sword of Gryffindor if you wanna manage to give me a hair cut."

Tom took out the dagger and revealed his wound, only to show a seam of light that slowly mended over time.

Arth furrowed his brows as he took out his watch that was still continuing to tick.

"Times up," smirked Tom as his eyes started to get redder and his smile got wider. "Today is the day you will join me or die."

Just as he finished, multiple black bursts of smog appeared and surrounded Arth. When the smog cleared away, people wearing dark black robes and skull masks loomed over him.

Death Eaters.
