Bastard!

"Are you done?" Dan asked Bella when he was done with his meeting.

"Not yet. I still have a couple of..."

"Bring them home when you're done. Turner will pick you up," Dan said dismissively as he picked up his briefcase to leave.

Bella held herself from scowling at him, "You're leaving me behind?" She asked in disbelief making Dan turn to look at her.

"Yes. Why? You have a problem with it?" Dan asked, cocking his head to the side to get a better view of her face.

Did she have to remind him that this was his job she was doing? "You can go over the ones I've sorted out while I quickly finish up the rest," Bella suggested instead.

"I don't want to. Finish up and bring them over to the house. Your job is to make my life easier, so you should start earning your keep if you want to work for me," Dan said with a smile as he turned to leave.

"Bastard!" Bella murmured angrily as she shot daggers at his back.
