Apology

By the time Bella finished freshening up, Dan was already seated in the dining, waiting for her, "Did I keep you waiting?" She asked, blinking at him with mock innocence.

"Not at all. I hope you feel okay now?" Dan asked, eyeing her wearily.

"I wasn't ill," Bella responded with a sweet smile as she sat down and picked up a slice of freshly baked meatloaf, "Hmm, tastes nice. When did you get this?" She asked as she chewed, making Dan look at her with his nose scrunched in disgust.

"Watching you talk as a guy while eating is mildly acceptable, but as a lady, it is unappealing," Dan said, making Bella straighten up in her seat. She had completely forgotten she was supposed to act like a lady now. Her bad habit was here to disgrace her.

"Sorry," She muttered as she slowly chewed on the meatloaf.

"It's okay. The cleaners and chefs came around today to clean up the house and restock the refrigerator," Dan said, answering her earlier question.
