16 Volume 2 – Chapter 7 – Towards Alexandria …

| Morning of November 3 - 1248 - Palermo - Attila |

A little less than 2 months have passed since that secret meeting, after my speech we talked about other things, including when to leave.

I proposed to leave in November, because the cold would not only help us keep our supplies fresh, but it shouldn't snow in the Middle East (at least next to Jerusalem), so at least we wouldn't suffer from the summer heat of the deserts.

The idea was accepted and it was decided by the Emperor to leave in November starting from Palermo, passing through Alexandria up to Acre.

In fact, I am here in Palermo who, instead of visiting the city, I am forced to help get the supplies on board.

While I was helping to climb the crates full of food on the ships I noticed the group of chic riders who did not want to train with me.

Now that I think about it, the Emperor had ordered me to apologize as soon as I saw that noble bastard.

Not that he deserved it, but since he ordered it to me, I have no other choice.

I approached them and said to all of them: << Hi, do you know by chance where I can find the one I faced two months ago? >>

They looked at me despicably, not that I particularly cared, and then they called that bastard.

Apparently his name was Cleante.

He came and I look at me in silence, he was fearful.

I started talking: << Listen Cleante, last time I went very hard with you, I'm glad your voice is back, I'm sorry, accept my apologies >>

The bastard's expression changed from fearful to self-confident and said: << Aha, you see stupid plebeian, I guess the Emperor asked you to apologize. He did well since you are just a nullity >>

Oh well, it will turn out that I really kill this retard.

I replied: << You know that maybe I was wrong, maybe I had to make you mute for the rest of your life! Do you want to remain silent forever ?! Just ask! Or maybe you want to die here in front of everyone ?! MAYBE YOU WANT TO KILL YOU ALL NOW?! >>

His miserable confident expression changed to one of the most frightened of all, his companions behind were shaking.

I took him by the throat and told him: << Get ready because once you get there you won't go home alive! You have marked your death sentence! >>

Then I threw him to the ground and stepped on his face with my foot.

Looking at the others: << Listen well, all of you should already consider yourselves dead! None of you will return from Jerusalem alive! Miserable bastards that you are nothing else! >>

Their faces were filled with terror after my screams.

While Cleante was under my foot, which stepped on his cheeks every two seconds, behind me a hand took my left shoulder gently. It was Malik, the Emperor's military adviser.

He told me: << Attila, I know you would like to kill them one by one, but you can't. Rather come and give me a hand to make things go up >>

She was in full hysterics and yet her all too kind way of telling me to stop was admirable.

I left that bunch of bankrupts with Cleante still on the ground.

After a few meters I said to Malik: << Thanks for getting me out of that situation, I swear I would have killed them all there >>

<< Yes I believe you, if you were able to kill Sir Elias as well, then they were small fish in comparison. You were right to kill him, every time he saw me he called me "nigger". He deserved death >>

In my honest opinion, just for a few words like "nigger" he didn't deserve death, maybe it was something that had been going on for years. Well, I should be the last person to speak since for a word like "plebeian" I kill people instantly.

Malik continued to speak: << Remember that even if they are on your cock, you cannot kill them personally, because the reputation of the Emperor would suffer >

<< Yes, I am aware of it, I simply can't help myself many times >>

<< Okay, don't worry, now help me pick up the stuff. Already tomorrow we should leave >>

So I helped Malik get the stuff up on the ship.

| Morning November 4th - 1248 - Palermo - Attila |

We all got up very early, the ship was ready to go.

I feel that an epic is about to begin, when a bloody adventure.

<< Are you ready to leave?! >> said what would be the head of the port to our helmsman.

<< Yes, let's go! >>

The ship released from the port and we began our journey to Alexandria.
