Chapter 1: Power

In any ordinary novel, curses are usually portrayed as the embodiment of evil. But, in this world, curses are the sign of authority, power and your place in society. Humans use their curse to fight back against monsters that threaten humanity.

Although powerful, curses do come with a price. The Curse Of Fire lets the curser gain control over fire but is weak to the Curse Of Water. The Curse Of Wind lets the curser gain control over wind but is weak to the Curse Of Earth.

There are trillions of curses, each one with a different price. The more powerful a curse is, the bigger the price the curser has to pay. There are a total of six grades a curse can be categorized. Normal, Abnormal, Hazard, Terrifying, Disaster and Savage.

On very rare occasions, when a curser loses control of their curse, they become a demon. Demons don't need to pay the price of their curse, a party of at least 5 Abnormal cursers will be needed to defeat one demon with a Normal curse. This is why every country has 3 to 4 schools to educate cursers who havent fully devoleped their curse yet.
