Chapter 12

"We only have two rules here in your dorm. Rule No.1 follow the curfew. You should be in your dorms by 10:30. Rule No.2, It is forbidden to go to the Elite Dormitory. "

I am here today in the Common hall of the Inferior Dormitory. I thought that I would go straight to my dorm but the driver of the golf car took me here, he said there was still briefing and I had to attend there.

"When it comes to school rules, we have a lot to follow. First, DON'T. BE. LATE! I know all schools have this kind of protocol, maybe you already know why!" my heart jump when she shouted.

"Second, students are not allowed to roam around inside the academy while class is on-going, you are here to study, not to roam or act like a supervisor."

She emphasizes each of her words using her strong voice, just enough to scare us.

"Third, you cannot go to Major Campus UNLESS the Elite students themselves invited you there, but that is impossible" she laugh softly at what she said.

Her serious face went back as she said the fourth rule.

"Fourth rule, you are not allowed to go near to the elite, that is why the third rule is impossible" she said and laugh again.

While we? The students here, don't literally know why she is laughing. Is there any reason to laugh? does she said something funny?

"Fifth rule, you are obligated to obey all the orders of the elites.”

We all sigh at the fifth rule, why does the rules here are so unfair. We are also a students that want to study not to be their helper.

“You have to obey their commands out of respect, they are the reason why you are here. Without the elites you will not be able to enter this school as scholars. In other words, they pay your tuition fees and other expenses.”

No one answered her, I could not answer because I did not know what to answer.

It turns out that we still feel indebted to the elites because they are the reason why we are here, but our brains are the ones we used to get into it.

Daddy took a new maid to take care of Merra because Nanny Mena is a bit old. I just put on house clothes and I went to daddy.

When I entered his office, I found him sitting in a swivel chair while there were piles of papers in front of him.

"Daddy, are you calling me?" I asked him

"Yes, sit down." I followed his ordered, I sat in the visitors chair and listened to whatever he had to say.

"How was the rehearsal earlier?" he asked me.

"It's fine"

"Okay" he sighed before answering again.

"You will take the entrance exam tomorrow." he said to me

"What? Where will I take the entrance exam? As far as I know St. Claire is not having a entrance exam this year. And dad, I don’t need an entrance exam, I am automatically enrolled to the school that I want because of my grades.” I explained to him.

Being a valedictorian has its advantages, In St. Claire because when your grades are high, you don't have to take the entrance exam.

The St. Claire University is the leading school in the entire country. This is public so I prefer it here besides the fact that the teaching here is really good.

As time goes on, the company loses more, if it used to be in the lead, now it seems to be in the end. Our family collapsed so much, apart from stealing us large sums of money, there were also scandals.

The scandal spread to not only the whole country but also the whole world. It is said that our products are not good.

If then our family was well known, now it seems like it is no longer in the business world. Daddy is doing everything to get the company back to normal, and my aunts and uncles are also working on a way but it seems like it will be a long time before that happens.

"You're not going to college at St. Claire University. You're going at Paulen Stan's school."

What? I thought he agreed to go to St. Claire. I will study there because of what our family is going through now

"You can no longer refuse because I already told Mariella and Dominic that you will study there with their child." Mariella and Dominic are the parents of Paulen Stan, my so called fiancé.

"But dad, if I study there, the tuition will definitely be expensive. I thought we already talked about this? There you are again, your changing my decisions again!" I could not help but raise my voice.

"I'm not. And so what if tuition is expensive there? I have a way to educate you. You will marry the only child of the Villsuence so you have to come from a good school." he objected to me.

I have no choice but to sigh.

“Where is his school? And dad, I didn’t see Paulen since the day of my birthday, do you think I will remember him? “ I asked

“His school is far from here, and yes, you will remember him.”

“How about him? Will he remember me?”

“Of course Terra” he answered to me

I just accept the fact that I’m going to be with him.

I don’t have appetite to eat so I just kiss good night to Merra and Dad, Mama is not yet home, I wonder where she is?

I will just put all my resentment to sleep, at first it was their planning for the wedding of Paulen and me, and now they decide where school will I attend..

Unbelievable, what am I? A puppy who always follow what they want?
