Chapter 54

Ellen's eyes flashed in contempt. Her slight smile was surprisingly very chilling.

 " I have a better deal. Release my person and pay up the emotional damage so that we can end this peacefully. "

 The entire room fell silent before all loudly broke out into laughter.

 They looked at her like she was some kind of a fool. What would an average frail looking little girl be able to do to big men like them?

 Zhen lit up a cigarette before inhaling it casually.

 " My beauty, I'd like to hear what would happen otherwise. " He looked at her and laughed amusedly.

 Ellen shrugged her shoulders expressionlessly.

 " I'll just blow up your little nest. "

 " Hahaha... you're very interesting!! Should I take that as a threat, I love threats. "

She smiled at him a hint of darkness flashing across her eyes.

 Zhen cast her a serious second look. Although her features were stunning, her attire was very average and she seemed to be from an ordinary family.

 He may have been arrogant but was very cautious not to offend the dominant families in the Capital.

 He was the most feared gang leader in that neighborhood. All other smaller criminal gangs were under his authority.

 Even the police were always reluctant to come to this street for patrols and oftenly turned a blind eye to his activities as it was alleged that he had formidable connection in the police department and a group of mafias.

 It wouldn't be wrong to say that he ruled the street.

 He was rich and formidable and his name alone caused dread in people's ears. He really admired the petite woman for not only delivering herself to the tiger's den but also threatening the tiger in it's own territory.

 He slammed the table with his huge fist and roared pointing at her with his index finger, red veins popping on his forehead.

 All over sudden, the room went quiet. The furious Wu Chan almost rained his punches on the bald man but was intercepted by his underling with a strong stomach kick that sent him sprawling on the floor.

 Wu Chan was so angry that his whole face was red. His trembling hands were balled into fists and his aura was extremely aggressive. Even Ellen raised her brows at him. She was used to the soft spoken side of him.

 Ellen nimbly kicked the table beside her with her foot and sent it flying towards the sidekick who had punched him on the stomach.

 The man shrieked in horror when the hard wooden table knocked on both his knees. The pain was so excruciating that beads of cold sweat started forming on his face. He was very pale as he fell on his knees on the hard floor clutching them painfully, groaning with hurried breaths.

 Shockingly the woman didn't use a lot of strength but the kick was very powerful.

 Several gasps were heard across the room. Even Zhen was both shocked and surprised. He never expected her to be that violent. He really underestimated her.

 Wu Chan's dark eyes lit up a little. He felt some warmth spread across his cold heart when he laid his eyes on the still calm woman. He didn't know how to feel. He was both touched and worried.

 He was touched because she accompanied him to such a place without a second thought and avenged for him.

 Despite that, he was really worried. He was really worried. He regretted causing her the trouble. He also feared the criminal would harm his sister, a 20 years old college girl.
