13. Eleanor Lee

Capital, Continent M. 

In an exquisite brightly lit living room stood a woman with a long black hair. Sadness clouded her physical features and her vision was blurry as tears raced down her cheeks.

 Smack! 

 Two powerful slaps on each side of her face sent her crawling on the hard and cold floor in a disheveled heap. A great sob escaped the pitiful woman as she covered her bright red cheeks with her trembling hands. She painfully opened her mouth but no words came out. 

 " You lazy slut! I should have left you to die in poverty. You are just some worthless piece of sh*t , shameless woman!"

 " You're a disgrace in this family. You are not my daughter. Pack up and leave, I don't want to see your face ever again."

 " You deceived me with your fake innocent face. I can never marry a woman like you. You don't deserve anyone's trust and affection. A slut like you deserves to die. "

" Elder sister, how could you embarrass our family like this? You've disappointed mum, dad and brother Rong so much."

" Your medical license is hereby revoked, you're unworthy of this profession. "

" Take these bastards and disappear from our lives!"

 On a huge bed lay a sculpted figure that had a thin frame. She was dressed in white pajamas. Her long hair was midnight black and it lazily spread on the white pillow. A deep frown was visible on her palm size face as her small body trembled violently.

 Her pale white face showed a terrified and helpless expression while her breathing turned shallow and rapid.

 A single tear squeezed out of her eyes. She was curled into a foetal position clutching her stomach with shaking hands while letting out some whimpers. Her grief poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears.

 Click!

 The sudden sound of the door opening woke her up. Her velvety eyelashes fluttered and her bewitching round black eyes opened. Soft mumbles snapped her back to her senses.

 It was a dream!!

 When she tilted her head and turned her eyes towards the door, the sight that welcomed her instantly melted her freezing heart and washed away the grief she had experienced in that terrifying dream.

 Two little imps were sneakily peeking at her through the crevice of the slightly opened bedroom door. They were dressed in similar blue jeans and white t-shirts. The little cute girl had a sneaky and sly gaze while the charming elder boy glanced at her curiously and shyly. His eyes held warmth and the tip of his ears had a tinge of red.

 The two children were busy murmuring to each other with serious expressions on their tiny faces or rather the little girl was cunningly instructing the boy. They seemed to not realize that she had opened her eyes.

 " What are you two busy whispering to each other? Are you bargaining on how much you're going to sell mommy?"

Thud!

Suddenly the door was pushed open from the outside and both little kids fell on the thick carpeted floor with a thud.

 "..."

 " Hahaha..." 

Eleanor Lee the woman on the bed let out a soft melodious laughter. She slowly rose up and leaned her back on the headboard of the bed, her eyes never leaving the sight of the two confused little imps on the floor displaying a wronged expression.

 The boy's head was hang low, a flush crepting up his face. The girl's little face was scrunched up. Her brows were deeply furrowed while her mouth was wide open.

 ' Let the drama begin.'

Eleanor thought to herself and straightened her body waiting for a good show. Her little girl Sherry alias Effie Lee was a crowned little drama queen. Her little lips trembled, her eyes glistening with tears. She ignored her brother's stretched hand and remained seated on the floor, her little chubby hands covering her tiny face sadly.

 " Sun Sun , how can you scare baby like this? I almost died from a heart attack! How can I bear to leave my pretty Ellen, she'd be so much sad and hurt, " she shook her head pitifully sending an accusatory gaze to the woman who had suddenly barged into the room, at the same time glancing at her brother with the corner of her eyes.

 Getting the message, Liam Lee spoke up with a cold expression on his face.

" Why don't you make a sound while you walk? You even sneaked on children, aunt Sun Sun you're an adult."

 The tall and pretty woman with a long curly hair dressed in a knee-length black dress squinted her round brown eyes at the two children, one seated pitifully on the floor greatly wronged while the other giving her a frosty and chilly gaze. She rolled her eyes and arrogantly entered the bedroom. She was nicknamed Sun Sun from the name Sunny because of her cheerful personality.

 " You two should join the entertainment industry, it'd be bad if such talent is wasted. How else would I have caught you two mischievous things red-handed sneaking into Ellen's bedroom?

Where do I get another beautiful best friend if you two suddenly sold her in a certain weird country hah?! Now be good and tell your pretty aunt here, what's going on in your two little heads?" She poked their foreheads as she spoke.

 " Song Enya! Stop bullying my babies

else I'm taking them back with me to London," Eleanor or Ellen jeered at Sun Sun with a playful frown on her face.

Sun Sun swiftly lifted Sherry on her feet and tossed her on the big bed. She then placed both hands on her hips and protested.

 " Hey! How can you mention about going back, you just came back yesterday. Besides I'm just being a caring buddy here, this two little demons are capable of anything. " 

 " Little Ellen *sob* baby is quite hurt. Baby's legs feels like they won't walk for a whole week." Sherry glanced at her mother pitifully while sobbing though no tears came out of her eyes.

 She and her brother Liam grew up around people calling their mother little Ellen thus grew accustomed to calling her the same. They only called her mommy on serious circumstances or incase they were sad or hurt.
