2 Chaptef 2 - Who keeps the villa after divorce?

The little light in Sabrina's heart went out. If he did not want her, then why did he fuck her anytime he was home? She should have been disgusting to him right? Well since he already intended to kick her out of his life, she would just make it easy for him.

"I want a divorce, Robin. I won't share my home with another woman."

Robin was startled by her choice but his expression remained calm. He was not expecting her to pick that option, since he knew how much she loved him. He could also not lie that there was something about Sabrina that kept bringing him back to her even when all he wanted was to hurt and send her away.

Though he always pinned it on pleasing his father, there was a silent conviction that it was not true. Right now, he had Zayla, the woman who saved his life before and the only woman he vowed to be by his side. Sabrina would not be missed and he wanted a child too so Zayla was of a much better value to him than Sabrina was or ever would be.

"Alright. I will give you two villas, two cars and 200 million as alimony."

"I don't want all that," Sabrina chimed in, her expression eerie. A thin line appeared on Robin's fore head when he grimaced. He admitted to not knowing much about Sabrina but what other reason could she be desperate to marry him? It was all because of the money. For as long as she took it, he would feel less guilty.

"So how will you survive? I don't want people telling me that my ex-wife became a beggar," Robin's voice laced with disgust and taunt while he tried to break her. Sabrina did not want anything from him since she could not get the very thing she wanted, which was his love. Sadly, she also made a promise to Robin's father and did not plan to break it. Not until she tried.

"I want this villa. It's the only thing I want. I will get the divorce papers ready tomorrow," Sabrina said calmly, but why did it hurt her so much? She loved Robin for fifteen years and got married to him for three years but he was still cold towards her. How useless could she be? It was such a shame but she was just 25 so it was not too late to pick her life back. Robin was amazed by her request.

The villa was worth 60 million and he thought it foolish if she took it over the houses, cars and money he wanted to give her. Maybe it was because of the love she had for his father. The old man lived with them in this villa for six months because he did not trust that Robin would make Sabrina happy. He did it to fill the void, which worked miraculously, the reason why Sabrina did not return to her parents when her father asked her to.

"Are you sure the villa is all you want?" Robin asked seriously, though he felt uneasy about the whole thing. However, he also felt that Sabrina had been out of touch with the world and did not know how hard it was out there without money. It would not be long before she would come running back to him and he could force her to take care of Zayla.

Even in a situation like this, she was the only one he could trust to take care of his unborn heir because she had a kind heart. Whereas, what both Sabrina and Robin failed to see was the way the color on Zayla's face drained at Robin's question. She was sure that Robin was going to give in to Sabrina's demand.

"Babe, I want this villa for our child. It's more homely," Zayla said in a sweet flattery voice. Sabrina stiffened slightly, recalling Robin's father's words,

"Sabrina, you must promise me that no matter what happens between you and my son, you must never leave this villa. It's my gift to you and there is more to it than you think."

"Dad, please don't be ridiculous. You know that I have no need for anything. If I wanted a villa like this, my father would have given me four. It should be for Robin," Sabrina recalled her response that day.

"You don't understand. A man who lacks self-control in the aspect of his zip when he has a wife at home is up for destruction. I'm sorry for being selfish but there are so many treasures in this villa, passed down from generation to generation. If it gets into the hands of another woman, we shall lose it all. Please promise me that this villa will always be yours and you will not let him have it," the middle-aged man demanded on his deathbed. He had kidney failure but they could not get a donor due to his rare blood group.

"If it makes you happy, then I will keep an eye on the villa but don't worry, I will make Robin fall in love with me. I will give him so much love that he would be left with no choice," she recalled herself saying to the sick man on the bed. If she had known things would turn out like this, she would not have made that promise but recalling how the man smiled after those words before he passed away, she knew she had to keep that promise.

"Robin, this villa has memories of your father. He treated me like a daughter and I want it preserved," Sabrina held back her tears and spoke. Zayla's eyes were red or were they green? Was it envy, jealousy or greed? There was just something about the villa. It was the reason why Zayla returned. Back then, she left after Robin's father threatened to expose her secrets but now, he was gone so she was here to stay and in this villa she must.

"Babe please, you can give her the penthouse. This is the best place for our child to grow," she tagged on Robin's shirt and spoke. Robin might be blind to certain things but he wanted to be fair.

"Zayla, at least Sabrina has been a good wife. This is all she is asking for but you have me," he pointed out with an unreadable glare which forced Zayla to lower her gaze. She feared that Robin would see through her but neither was she ready to let it go. Rather, they should have this discussion later, when she would have strong backing.

"Yes, you are right, I have you but I don't want to eat out," she lamented, casting an accusing glare at Sabrina. For as long as Zayla was concerned, Sabrina should serve her like a maid for as long as she continued to live in the villa. It was the only way for Zayla to feel good about herself, since she knew about Sabrina's history. Her father was Mr. Cobby James. A billionaire with multiple businesses. However, Robin took Zayla's 'yes,' as acceptance to his plea.

"Sabrina, since it's settled, bring us the food," Robin demanded but Sabrina seemed to be busy with something. She was talking on the phone, which was unusual for her. For as long as Robin knew, he was the only one in Sabrina's contact list. The rest were maids, drivers, bodyguards and the family doctor. And yes, Robin's best friend, Daniel Root.

Robin was even more curious because of the way Sabrina created a distance, speaking in a relaxed tone though he could not hear what she was saying. There was even a faint smile on her face which did not look forced. It brought out some hidden beauty in her he never noticed before. What was he thinking? He was never attracted to Sabrina. When he fucked her, it was because of his responsibility as a husband. In a way, it also felt different because he never used protection with her like he did with other women.

When Zayla returned, he only slept with her once without protection but that was because they were both drunk. After that day, he never slept with her again for a reason he could not tell but who knew that she was the one to make him happy after his years of miserable marriage? Sabrina finally hangs up the phone and asked,

"Did you say something?"

"The food," Robin demanded. Sabrina blinked and an evil thought came to mind. Robin would eat her food every time he came home and during the times he slept out due to reasons only he knew, he would eat as if he was starved. Putting two and two together, she yelled,

"Margaret!"

"Yes ma'am," the chief maid humbly responded, hastening to the Madam of the house. She was happy that the house would be for Sabina, which meant that her job and that of the other maids would be safe. It was bad to eavesdrop yet, Margaret was glad she did.

"Please bring the food from the kitchen," Sabrina said calmly, catching the evil smirk in the corner of Zayla's lips and oh, Robin swallowed too. He looked hungry and Sabrina wondered why there were so many expensive restaurants yet, he would always call her to cook for him.

The maid nodded and went to get it but Robin was upset. Sabrina served his food personally so why send the maid? Perhaps she was upset with Zayla's presence which was quite understandable. He wanted to insist but the aroma of the food got him tongue-tied when it arrived. Before the maid set it on the table, Sabrina bellowed,

"I didn't tell you to take it there."

Margaret froze and looked at her with a confused gaze. Robin and Zayla were equally surprised. "What do I do with it ma'am?" Margaret asked. She was a middle-aged woman and always had her hair held in a bun. She was not expecting Sabrina's next words.

"You and your friends should eat it. My treat," Sabrina smiled and spoke. Margaret smiled but was also afraid, she could not move, asking,

"Ma'am, are you sure?"

"I cooked it so eat it," Sabrina's smile grew broader when she saw the expression of the two people seated at the dining table. Margaret smiled. She knew that Sabrina was upset so she still did not move.

"Sabrina, what is the meaning of this?" Robin bellowed furiously. Sabrina shushed Margaret away with the food before she shrugged, saying,"

"You have a beautiful woman by your side. The kitchen is empty so what is hindering her from cooking for you?"
