Today I turn fifteen and I had the weirdest dream the previous night. In my dream I had fallen in love with a prince, but the prince was already in love with someone else and no matter how hard I tried he never looked my way. In the end my love for him became agony and I began to take my anger out on the woman he loved.

They ended up getting engaged,I poisoned her and ended up infront of the guillotine for attempted murder of a member of the royal family...In my dream I felt anguished the day I died but it wasn't because I was about to die,it was because I couldn't take the prince's lover to hell with me. Who would have thought that she'd be poison resistant. Although my dream feel's somewhat too vivid,I'm not going to pay it much attention,it is still just a dream after all. I convince my self that I was just being delusional because I had been reading too many reincarnation novels these days and my brain decided to play a trick on me. I should really make friends shouldn't I?

I sigh heavily and get out of bed as the maid's knock and enter my room to help me get ready for breakfast. My birthday banquet was to take place later in the evening and today is the only time of the year my parents ever spent time with me,in a whole year my birthday was always my favorite day.

Let me properly introduce myself...My name is Lancaster leeberte of the leeberte duchy, I was born in late June to Duke Carlton leeberte and his beautiful wife Amelia liberate and today I turn fifteen. My family was one of the most prominent noble families in the kingdom and for that reason they were almost always busy and we're also almost never at the estate,they spent most of thier time traveling around both in and out of the duchy. But no matter how busy my parents were they always made sure to give me all thier time on my birthday and they also always made sure the day was perfect,after all I was their beloved only daughter.

Once I'm done with my bath the maid's help me into a blue floral summer dress. I often wore blue dresses because my mom said they went well with my grey eyes and auburn hair. I make my way to the dinning hall and of course there's maid's scattered everywhere scurrying from place to place and trying to get everything in order.

Now infront of the huge door separating me from my parents I take a deep breath and put on my biggest smile,the maid's push the door open and I step in.

"Good day father,Good day mother"I say as I bow,my smile growing wider as I look up and see my mother making her way to me.

"Good morning my little angel,did you have a good night's rest?"

"Yes mother I did"

"Happy birthday baby"she says planting a small kiss on my forehead.

We make our way over to the table and my dad stretches his hand to me so I head over to where he's sitted,at this moment I notice a man I'd never seen before sitted across from my mother and even though he's obviously not a noble I bow facing him and continue on to my father. He takes my hand and plants a kiss on it, afterwards he tucks one side of my hair behind my ear saying.

"How are you doing my princess?"

"I'm fine father,how were your travels?"

"The same as ever,but I missed my princess even more this time"

I smile even wider and skip over to my seat. Breakfast continues on as usual,with me and my parents filling each other in on how our how days went by since the last time we saw each other. After breakfast the man takes his leave saying he had other matters to attend to,but my parents don't leave thier seats.They pass glances between each other a few times before my father finally speaks up.

"Princess, there's going to be two special guests attending your birthday banquet today"

"Who might they be father?"

"The king and the crown prince,the king has some matters to discuss with me and your mother but because we're always busy he wants it to be today knowing this might be the only time he'll be able to catch us"

I say nothing so I think they panic.

"But we can turn him down if you don't want them to come"

"No it's fine,I was just concerned since it'll be my first time meeting anyone from the royal family"

My mother turns to me patting my head and saying.

"You don't have to worry the prince is right around your age,so while your father and I are with the king you can befriend the prince"

"Okay mother"I say putting on a smile.

She tilts her head and smiles then plants a kiss on my forehead. Breakfast ends like that and my parents head back to thier offices and I to my room.

Later that evening I put on a very beautiful blue dress. It looked like the night sky because it was a royal blue dress covered in crushed diamonds and then dazzling sapphire jewelries graced my ears and neck,my hair pulled into a messy yet elegant messy bun.

Just as the first dance is about to start the King and the prince's arrival Is announced, I offer my greetings to the king and the prince and my parents head off to thier office with the king. I usually had the first dance with my father and the second with my mother but this time I had to have it the prince. Once the first and second dance are done I slip away from the crowd and head to the balcony. I sit by the door so that no one would be able to see me from the inside and breakdown,but just then someone says.

"Are you okay?"

I look up to find the prince holding out a handkerchief to me,I take it and look in the other direction as I begin to wipe my tears away. He takes a sit next to me and says,

"You can talk to me about it,I won't judge"

I say nothing but he still sits there without uttering a word.

"Today is supposed to be the only day of the year when I have my parents complete attention but they're working yet again"

"I don't have any friends and they're rarely ever here so it gets really lonely,but on my birthdays they give me all of thier attention so I always look forward to it"

A few minutes go by without either of us speaking.

"If you ever get lonely again write me, I'll come to you"The prince finally says.

I turn to him and he's smiling his blue eyes pulling me in like the ocean.

"Why would you want to do that?"I say looking away.

"Because that's what friends do for each other"

"But we never agreed to be friends"I reply.

"Then let's be friends"he says standing up and stretching out his hand.

I look at him for a few minutes the moon illuminating his features,I take his hand and he pulls me up planting a soft kiss on it.

"Let's be friends"I mutter with a smile forming on my face.
