5 Chapter 5: Battle Trial Part 1
A/N: Changed Ultimate Eye's cooldown from 15 seconds to 10, which is what it was meant to originally meant to be anyway.

It was the second day of school, with class 1-A all in their seats as they had sat through the usual tedious day of normal school subjects - such as English and maths - in the morning.
At 12.30 it's lunch time for everybody as they ate cheap yet very good food made by the Cook Hero: Lunch Rush.
It was now the afternoon, meaning that it was time for some 'Hero Basic Training', something fun.
"I HAVE..." A loud voice along with footsteps could be heard coming outside the class as 1-A turned their attention to the door, "COME THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" A buff blonde man with a big smile burst through the door - completely normal.
"It's All Might, awesome! He's really gonna teach us?!" Someone shouted in shock and joy.
"That's his silver age costume!" Someone else fanboyed as All Might walked up to the front of the class.
"Hero Basic Training! The class that'll put you through all sorts of training to mold you into heroes!!" All Might stated as he flexed his muscles, before he pulled out and revealed a card that had the word 'BATTLE' on it,
"No time to dilly dally! Today's activity is this! Battle training!!" He said enthusiastically, more excited than the class themselves.
"Battle... training!?" The class murmured in excitement.
"And for that..." All Might said in suspense as the wall beside him split into 4 sections, "You'll need these!" The sections came out of the wall to reveal numbered boxes with costumes in them
"In accordance with the 'quirk registry' and the special request forms you filled out before being admitted..." Before All Might could finish, the class shouted in excitement
"COSTUMES!! YEAHHH!" They cheered as they got hyped up.
Seeing their excitement, All Might clapped his hands as he said "After you change, come out in ranking order to Ground Beta!" He ran out the class to Ground Beta as the class took their uniforms out of the boxes and went into the changing rooms.

In the boys changing room, Ren took off his school uniform as he got changed into his 'Costume', which consisted of a tight-fitting short sleeve shirt, sports tan baggy training pants with a black belt weaved through the waist and black martial arts slippers - Toji style.
Looking at his appearance in the mirror which was in the boys changing room, Ren couldn't help but smile at his appearance as he looked like a black haired Gojo wearing Toji's drip, 'Damn, I look good!' He said narcissistically, 'Going to the gym really helped' He flexed his muscles.
"Woah! Your built, bro!" Kirishima said as he stood beside Ren as he flexed his own muscles, "My muscles are there, but they're not like yours yet! We've totally gotta become gym bros!" He had his arm out for Ren, who dapped up Kirishima
"I'm down! I've been needing a gym bro for a while!" They laughed, until Ida clapped his hands as all the boys turned their attention to him standing in his hero costume at the door of the changing room.
"It's time we all go! We can not be holding up the lesson and All Might for long!" Ida said as he left the changing room, the other boys leaving as well.

"Looking good is very important, ladies and gentlemen!! Look alive now! Because from today on..." All Might said to himself before he turned his head dramatically as he looked at class 1-A heading towards him in their hero costumes
"YOU'RE ALL HEROES!!" The class stood side by side in front of All Might who looked at them with a proud smile, "Well! Shall we begin, future heroes?!" He asked
"YES SIR!" The class responded, causing All Might to nod, "Good good... it's now time for BATTLE TRAINING!!" He announced for god-knows how many times now.
The class spoke amongst one another for a bit as they complimented each other on their uniform, before All Might called out to them, "Looking good, class!" He then turned to Izuku before turning his head as he covered his mouth 'Way to make it obvious!' he thought.
"Sensei!" Ida stepped forward as he spoke to All Might, "This appears to be the field we used in our entrance exam. Will we be once again performing cityscape maneuvers?!"
"Nope!" All Might replied as he explained, "You'll be moving on to step TWO! 'Indoor anti-personnel battle training'!"
'What's with the weirdly long names...?' Ren thought with a sigh as he listened to All Might's explanation that, statistically, the most heinous villains commit crimes indoors. Therefore, this trial is to test the class' ability to perform their hero duties indoors.
"You'll be split into Villain teams and Hero teams... and face off in two-on-two indoor battles!!" All Might announced, shocking the class as they had expected something more simple
"So no basic training?" Asui said as she tilted her head, causing All Might to clench his fist as he answered with "Practical experience teaches you the basics!"
"Understandable" Asui nodded in satisfaction at the answer as she let All Might explain further.
"This trial is different as you won't be tested by fighting robots-" He was about to say some more until the students raised their hands and spoke on their own accord
"What determines victory?/Can I blow everything away?/Are you gonna threaten to expel someone, like Aizawa?" And more, causing All Might to shake as he shouted
"Ask questions one at a time, please! My quirk isn't super-hearing! And let me finish explaining before you ask questions!" All Might looked at the silenced class, "Good.
Listen up! Here's the deal, the villains will be hiding a nuclear weapon in the hideout, and the heroes have to go in and take care of it!
The heroes have a limited time to either capture the villains or secure the weapon. The villains must either capture the heroes, or protect the weapon until the time is up" He read off a paper before he scrunched it up and threw it far away,
"As for how we're going to decide the teams..." He magically pulled out a box, somehow, "We're going to draw lots!"
"Is that really the best way?!" Ida questioned, unsure of All Might's decision.
'That's what you're asking about?!' The rest of the class looked at Ida in shock, as they were wondering where the box came from rather than the lots itself.
"Actually, it makes sense, because pros often have to team up with heroes from other agencies on the spot during emergencies..." Izuku, knowledgeable of this type of stuff, answered Ida's doubts as he apologised to All Might.
"It's fine! Let's just get to it!" All Might said impatiently as he got the class to line up in a single-file line as they put their hand in the box and pulled out a ball with a letter on it.
Team A - Izuku Midoriya & Ochaco Uraraka
Team B - Ren Kiyotaka & Toru Hagakure
Team C - Shoto Todoroki & Rikido Sato
Team D - Katsuki Bakugo & Tenya Ida
Team E - Minoru Mineta & Momo Yaoyorozu
Team F - Mezo Shoji & Hanta Sero
Team G - Mina Ashido & Eijiro Kirishima
Team H - Denki Kaminari & Tsuyu Asui
Team I - Yuga Aoyama & Mashirao Ojiro
Team J - Fumikage Tokoyami & Kyoka Jiro
(A/N: Actually used a spin wheel for these teams, excluding A and D)
First up was Team A as the heroes, and Team D as the villains, which surprised Ren.
'Wow, I guess this is... a CANON EVENT!' He thought dramatically, with the theme of Spiderman 2099 playing in his mind.
It went just like canon: Bakugo and Izuku had their 1v1 whilst talking about their childhood and stuff, with their finale being them blasting through the roofs above them; Uraraka and Ida having their small 1v1, and Team A winning by touching the bomb.
With everyone back in the monitor room - the room with cameras to show different angles of the matches that everyone spectated in - All Might said, "The MVP in this battle was Ida!" Shocking Ida himself.
"Not Ochaco or Midoriya? Even thought they won?" Asui asked, to which All Might looked at the students, "Anyone have any idea why I've declared Ida the MVP?" Momo raised her hand, "Yes! Yaoyorozu!"
"It's because Ida was most able to adapt to the scenario" The students looked at Momo in confusion, so she carried on explaining to make it clear, "From what I saw, Bakugo's actions were motivated by a personal grudge. And as mentioned by sensei from before, using such destructive attacks indoors is foolish.
Midoriya's performance suffered from the same results. And then Uraraka lost focus halfway through, which could be a crucial mess up in a real scenario. And her final attack was way too hazardous, such an attack would probably set off the nuclear weapon itself.
And finally, Ida, he formed an actual counter-strategy, envisioned what the actual struggle would be like, and only lost because of this training exercise's exploitable constraints" Momo finished, causing half the class to wake up after dozing off halfway through.
'She said it better than I did!' All Might shook as he showed a thumbs-up "I couldn't have said it better myself!" He lied through his teeth, "I'd also say that Ida was a bit too stiff, but other than that, you are correct!"
Momo huffed her chest proudly, "We've got to start from the bottom and work our way up! And if we don't earnestly cheer each other one, we'll never be top heroes!" She said
"Yes yes, precisely" All Might nodded before he took the 2 boxes in his hands, "Next up..."
The next matches and its winners included:
Team C - Shoto Todoroki & Rikido Sato (Heroes) vs Team F - Mezo Shoji & Hanta Sero (Villains) - Winners: Team C
Team E - Minoru Mineta & Momo Yaoyorozu (Heroes) vs Team I - Yuga Aoyama & Mashirao Ojiro (Villains) - Winners: Team E
"The heroes are on a roll!" All Might cheered, "Next up... Team B as the heroes vs Team J as the villains!"

Standing outside the building, Hagakure and Ren were speaking with one another as they decided to compose a plan.
"So, your quirk is invisibility... that'll be useful for this" Ren muttered, "Alright, this is the plan..." He then whispered in Hagakure's ear for a few seconds before he stepped back as a flying glove had a thumbs up.
"Sounds good! Let's go get this victory!" Hagakure said cheerfully, her thumbs-up changing into a high-five
"Hell yeah!" Ren smiled as he high-fived Hagakure before they ran into the building to face the villains: Fumikage Tokoyami and Kyoka Jiro.
