The Possessed Villain: My Life on the Doomsday Committee

Griswalden Silverth possesses Death's Route power and can predict the best ways to kill someone. He is a member of the Doomsday Committee, aiding monsters in world destruction. Aiden becomes furious upon discovering that Griswalden, his favorite villain, dies abruptly in the story. Dissatisfied with the ending, he expresses his irritation by cursing the author in the comments. The author responds calmly, "I'm willing to give you a chance if you think you can outperform Gris." Thus, Aiden mysteriously transmigrates as Griswalden Silverth in the web novel Rise of the Low-Class Hero. *** The storyline is slow. The MC goes to the villains' academy in chapter 40+. He had to go through many paths to join the doomsday committee. His life in the committee is still long but it will be the main plot until the end. English isn't my native tongue, so there might be some slip-ups in spelling, grammar, and clarity. However, I'm open to corrections if you point out any mistakes. I'm all about constructive criticism, so lay it on me (nicely). When you drop a review, it'd be great if you mentioned the latest chapter you read to help out new readers.

New Identity

In the original story, Gris worked with two people to escape the Death Forest. It was an effective approach as long as they trusted each other.

However, Aiden could not trust his back to the girl who asked, 'What should we do?'. Such questions would come out of her mouth when other children attacked them.

She was useless and would only be a burden if Aiden worked with her.

"Truly annoying," Aiden muttered, tossing the stone into the bushes without expecting anything.

That's why when he heard a shout from the bushes, he directly grabbed the dagger from the girl's grip.

A brown-haired boy leaped out of the bushes in surprise. Locking eyes with Aiden, he hiccupped and instinctively retreated a step.

"I-I have this!" The boy exclaimed, lifting his crossbow.

He had been hiding in the bushes before Aiden and the girl arrived. His plan was to wait until they left or use his weapon when the time was right.

"Move one step, and I'll pull the string to make the arrow pierce your chest."

Aiden did not move as the boy requested. "Are you a good shot?"

"Shut up, you scoundrel! How can you be so calm after killing that girl?"

"Says someone who threatened to shoot me."

The boy growled, pulling the crossbow string to emphasize his seriousness. "At least I'm not a traitor like you!"

The arrow streaked through the air with remarkable speed, aimed directly at Aiden from the crossbow. Yet, his keen anticipation allowed him to evade it skillfully.

In a swift motion, Aiden sprinted towards the frantic boy, feverishly loading another arrow.

"By the devil!" The boy cursed himself for failing to load the arrow.

Nervously swallowing saliva, he raised his head and found Aiden leaping toward him. Before he fell, the last thing he spotted was Aiden's smirk and his intent-to-kill gaze in his blue eyes.

The boy fell to the ground with a dagger piercing his throat. He did not die instantly, and intuition encouraged his hands to pull out the dagger.

"Sorry, I missed it because I haven't used a dagger in a while," Aiden's chilling comment hung in the air as he tightened his grip on the boy's throat.

Quivering with fear, the boy shuddered like a chicken undergoing the unsettling butchering process.

Aiden retracted his dagger, leaving the boy breathless and shaken. His focus shifted toward the lifeless form of the girl nearby, and his intent was not to inspect her but to retrieve a black bottle containing a lethal poison.

"I need to test this first."

Then, Aiden poured a drop of poison onto the tip of his dagger and thrust it into the girl's upper abdomen.

The liver is a crucial organ in the body's digestive and metabolic system. It plays a significant role in detoxifying and removing harmful substances from the blood. When a toxic substance enters the body, the liver immediately attempts to eliminate it to prevent damage to other organs or further harm.

However, the girl's liver could not detoxify the black poison. A dagger stab may kill, but it does not change the overall color of human skin. In just a few seconds, her skin turned purple.

Aiden did not know what kind of poison it was, but one thing was sure: it could kill someone quickly.

"I should save this for a tough opponent."

After putting the poison in his pants pocket, Aiden took the crossbow and arrow from the fallen boy. He continued his way to find the exit gate.

Ordinary people would panic and take time to adapt to Aiden's position. But he was different, maybe because he had no family or loved ones to mourn if he transmigrated to another world.

His colleagues were a different case. As a hitman, he was not allowed to get emotionally involved because it might interfere with his mission. That's why he ignored Rocky's message.

He desired to return to his world but was prepared to accept if it was impossible. He had been trained not to panic in life-and-death situations. His job always forced him into such situations.

The killing was not new to Aiden. He did not need to feel guilty about the girl and boy's deaths. Even if he did not kill them, they would still die due to their poor survival skills.

"Am I cursed to keep killing others?"

Aiden laughed ironically. Before transmigrating, he had decided to retire from his job and planned to spend the rest of his life idly.

He had plenty of savings, and some of his investments would gain profits in the coming years, so he would not need to work again. But an unknown entity had sent him to another world, forcing him back into his repulsive routine.

Nevertheless, Aiden had to accept his new fate as he still wanted to live, even as Griswalden Silverth.

He did not care about names or identities. Aiden was not his real name; it was just one of the many fake identities he used for missions.

"I guess from now on, I should consider myself Gris."

Aiden was determined to change his identity and call himself Gris.

On the other side of the forest, the children slowly regained consciousness from the sedative's effect. Some were unlucky, as they were still unconscious when others awakened to kill them.

Some children chose to hide, too afraid to make a move. They knew their actions would be pointless even if they managed to survive.

Blayz had locked the Death Forest with magic. After five people exited, the magic gate would automatically close, and no one could escape.

Anyone trapped in the Death Forest had to find a way to survive until the next test was held. But no one had ever survived in the Death Forest until now.

"This area has been cleared," a ginger-haired boy kicked the body of another boy he had slain.

The ginger-haired girl next to him replied, "Good. We're close to the exit gate."

"Did you get the map?"

"Yes, I got it from one of the people I killed."

The twin siblings grinned with satisfaction. They had finally obtained the exit route map after killing about fifteen or more kids; they were not sure as they did not count their victims.

They followed the exit route on the map without letting their guard down. The boy had a sword, while the girl held a magic wand.

Rowan and Rowena were their names. Long before the Death Forest Test, they had been trained with their mother's support.

All the children in the Silverth family received facilities, but only a few remained consistent for years.

"It seems like we're the first ones to get out of here," Rowan could not help but feel proud of himself.

Rowena felt the same way. She was confident the other kids struggled to reach the exit gate.

In the Silverth family, Rowan and Rowena were already guaranteed to be stronger than children their age. It was only natural for them to trounce the others.

They believed the remaining kids would need a few more hours to find the exit gate. Hence, they were shocked when a gray-haired boy suddenly appeared beside them.

"Rowena, take your position!"

Even though they were surprised, Rowan always reacted quickly to threats. He faced the new boy and pointed his sword.

Only one child with gray hair was in the Silverth residence, Griswalden, the mad kid who had learned necromancy for three years to reawaken his deceased mother.

Rowan and Rowena were still in amazement because they could not hear Gris's footsteps.

As far as they knew, Gris's necromancy experiments had failed, and he had never been interested in exploring anything else.

How did he get to the gate with below-average abilities?
