100 Survival (2)

Okami was unafraid to use Tailed-Beast ball right now because he had some success on it while he was training this particular skill. Unlike before, his current stamina was enough to sustain him three Tailed-Beast Ball attacks before he would faint. Along with his increased stamina, the power of these Tailed-Beast Ball also became stronger. Thus, his confidence surged up and he knew that his attack would surely connect because of Dennis' abysmal speed.

A ball of malevolent dark energy rushed forward and approached Dennis, who felt a fatal crisis for the first time since he battled Okami. He was sure that he could not avoid the attack and opted to stop it with his strongest physical grass move, Wood Hammer, despite knowing that this particular move would have recoiling damage. At once, vines sprouted from his back and formed into a large, wooden hammer and struck the Tailed-Beast Ball.

The Tailed-Beast ball was enough to overpower Dennis and fire's innate advantage against the Grass types made it all the more overwhelming. His vines disintegrated and his shell was hit.

"Aaaah!" Dennis screamed like a butchered pig when he felt the burning sensation that spread over his body. His body staggered but he was still able to stand firm on the ground, proving his capability as a true continent pokemon. Once the attack disappeared, he checked his body, only to find a large chunk of his shell was gone. Even the single tree on his back was burned into oblivion.

The luck of Goddess was still on Dennis' side because he was able to survive the attack. Because of his Dynamax form, Curse move and Shell Armor ability, his physical and special defense went several notches higher and he was able to resist the attack of a legendary pokemon.

Their situation was reversed this time and he was now the one who was bleeding all over. He did not hesitate to use his stamina in executing Synthesis in succession.

Okami landed on the ground and flinched from the sudden pain. He realized that he was still being affected by the tremor waves inside his body. This time, he was sure that it was just a test of who recovered first. With his passive stamina and health regeneration, he was confident that his body would soon return to normal.

If only he could follow it up with another Tailed-Beast Ball, then he was surely the winner of this fight. Unfortunately, it still needed half an hour to execute another Tailed-Beast Ball or else he would risk himself from dying due to physical overexertion.

Meanwhile, Dennis was madly using the Synthesis skill as he glared at the opposing enemy. Once he observed that Okami was resting, he risked it and raised his forelimbs once again and struck the ground. This time, the Earthquake's power was weakened a lot because of the lost weights due to the mountainous land on his back being destroyed. Even then, it was still enough to threaten Okami's life.

Even though Okami used Harden and covered his body with Armament Haki, the tremor waves were able to penetrate his armor and rushed inside his body. He squirmed in pain while his wounds opened up once again. For the second time, he vomited blood, indicating the seriousness of his current condition. His body became messed-up due to the surging foreign tremor waves destroying his organs. It was only thanks to his massive physical health regeneration that kept him alive this time.

"I'm afraid I can't keep this form if I will be hit by that attack once again." Okami detected Dennis' condition and decided to risk it. At once, he mustered his strength and leaped forward despite the intense pain that he was experiencing all over his body. Like a true fox, he maneuvered his way across the distance easily.

Dennis found out his intention and stopped him with a series of Razor Leaf. Still not contented, he followed it up with another Earthquake attack and hoped for a lucky hit.

Okami snorted and jumped high once he saw him attempting to use the devastating ground move which was a total threat against him. With the help of Observation Haki, he safely avoided both of the attacks safely and reached Dennis' location.

Alarmed, Dennis surrounded himself with revolving leaves with the help of Leaf Storm. Even as he was doing all these things, he did not stop using Synthesis to recover himself.

"It's time." Okami deactivated his Altered Ninetales form and changed into his Altered Haunter Blood form. His previous fox-like body slowly turned into a viscous liquid and became human blood. This time, he could avoid the ground attacks due to Altered Haunter's Levitation ability and the only thing he had to watch out for were grass moves, which were proven ineffective against him, considering he was a poison type right now.

At once, he absorbed the blood from Dennis' wounds and felt the warm sensation that accompanied the technique. This time, he was sure that something good was finally happening because he could detect some of his stamina being replenished.

Once Okami observed that the tremor waves were slowly suppressed inside his body, he hastened his skills and became all the more violent with his approach. He activated his maxed absorption rate and enjoyed the surging energy.

Dennis was not happy when he understood what Okami was doing. With sudden force, he stomped against the ground but frowned when he realized that his ground moves were not affecting his enemy at all. Without a choice, he resorted to Leaf Storm and Razor Leaf with a bunch of Leech Shot mixed within the rushing leaves.

Okami just laughed it off and continued his meal. He even injected some of his blood through his wounds to mess up with his enemy's recovery.

After several minutes, Okami realized that the tremor waves were not affecting his body anymore. He was about to attack when he sensed that his technique stopped abruptly and noticed that Dennis' wounds were closed, much to his dismay.

Dennis screeched and his body glowed like a dazzling light. His destroyed shell was slowly reformed miraculously.

Okami did not like what was happening and soared up to see what was going on. When he realized that his enemy's back was slowly restored, he gathered some of the blood he collected earlier and formed a massive coagulated gel on both of his hands. When he noticed that the blood concentration was enough, he hurled it against Dennis, who was visibly concentrating his willpower in reforming his body.

Before the bloody gel could come in contact with Dennis, Okami detonated the bloody bomb that he injected inside his enemy, thereby successfully wounding him. Dennis' high armor did not account for his internal body, which was softer when compared to his outer armor. At once, the bloody gel he hurled previously exploded like a bomb and wounded Dennis' weakened skin. He started absorbing the blood and transferred some of his blood into his enemy to use as his trump card.

Unbeknownst to Okami, Dennis was a true Devil Trainer. He had eaten the Pebble-Pebble fruit, which was a weaker version of the Stone-Stone Fruit. Even then, it synergized with his Starter Pokemon which added several techniques on his arsenal. He was a Paramecia type and could only manipulate what his surroundings could offer. Just like now, he was using the pebbles on the island to safely gather it on his back to restore his shell.

He screamed in pain when he felt the attack both from outside and inside his body. Like a furious beast, he screamed and rotated his body as he threw some of his collected pebbles against Okami.

Okami just laughed it off and detonated the blood he injected once again, creating more wounds. He suspected that Dennis also had massive health regeneration because of Torterra's physical attributes but he did not fret about it. Instead, he was all the more thankful because it was his chance to gather more blood to turn into his stamina, thereby increasing his form and body as well.

This went for about several minutes and Dennis became all the more frustrated because his speed was becoming a hurdle in apprehending Okami. Even though he knew that this was not enough to knock him unconscious, he did not like the idea of someone using his lifeforce for other's sake.

Okami, on the other hand, was feeling elated when he detected that his limit was finally broken. At once, the blood liquid swirled all over him before rushing inside his body. Even though he was being assaulted by Dennis, the attacks were slow enough that he decided to check his body, only to find that he was glowing all over. This made him all the more elated when his body changed into Altered Haunter's normal form and became smaller during the process. He knew that something significant was about to happen onto his body.
