40 Venting His Frustration

Meanwhile...

Two people, a dignified man and a haughty young lady, were traveling across a certain road. It also seemed like they had reached the entrance of their destination as the two of them suddenly came to a halt.

"This is The Slime's Lair, young miss." The dignified man, Dave, introduced the roadside blocked by the tall bushes.

"Hmm..." Diana, the haughty young lady, inspected as she couldn't imagine that behind these bushes was a dungeon. No wonder it was difficult to be found by anyone, this kind of dungeon was really something.

"Dungeons like this one are of a strange type. Even for someone like me, I cannot find it no matter how hard I search for it. Its presence and location are completely hidden as it can only be found by chance." Seeing Diana, Dave suddenly informed her.

"Do you think I am a fool? Of course, I knew it." Diana suddenly retorted, her lips curled in disgust.

"..." Dave didn't frown nor did he get angry though. He only went silent as if he was already accustomed to the spoiled behavior of the young lady before him. Thus, he bowed his head down slightly as he continued, "I apologize."

"Hmph!" Diana became even more haughty, her chin was disgustingly held up high. "So, where are your men?"

"They are probably insid..." Dave was just about to inform her the whereabouts of his men when, suddenly, he caught sight of something flying above swiftly. It seemed like this thing was heading in their direction as he immediately got a frown on his face after seeing it.

Swoosh!

After a few moments, that thing falling from the sky came closer. It became clearer that this thing was really coming at them.

However, could it really be called that it was a thing? Dave narrowed his eyes and sure enough, this thing coming at them from above wasn't really a thing, but a person!

Swoosh!

But before this person could land on them and inflict any harm, Dave immediately waved his hand sideways and a three-meter-long spear appeared in his hand. He then spun the spear for a moment before he swung forward and thrashed that incoming person pretty hard. That unlucky man was hit on his head before he flung to the side and rolled on the road a few times.

However, when he stopped rolling, his body slowly turned into ashes right away. It went without saying, he suffered pretty badly and his HP couldn't endure it anymore.

"That... Isn't that guy a member of our guild? Why is he here right now? And coming from the sky at that? What in the world is going on here?!" Diana, who was taken by surprise by the sudden occurrence, immediately recognized the person who had just fallen from the sky.

On the other hand, even without Diana mentioning it, Dave could already tell the identity of that person. But what he couldn't understand was how could this guy drop from the sky. Was he caught by a flying beast as he was dropped high above?

Frown took place on Dave's face the more he thought about the situation. He shifted his gaze at the entrance of the dungeon to get the gist of it. But... this uncomfortable feeling... why could he feel that endless troubles were about to meet them very soon the moment he looked into there?

"Damn, don't tell me my exp is in danger?!"

However, amidst Dave's contemplation, Diana suddenly rushed into the dungeon, leaving only those few furious words. Looking at her now, it appeared like she was a child who had found the one who stole her candy.

"Wait for me, young miss!" Dave could only follow behind as he knew that it would be pointless to try to stop her. The two of them entered the hidden dungeon with a single thought. Just what the hell was going on in there?

***

At the same time, after Cardo opened his eyes, he found his men already lying on the ground just as he expected. He could immediately tell that all of them suffered the same beatings as him as their HP almost hit zero. It was truly a terrible sight.

But what horrified him more was that the cause of all this misery, the brat they tried so hard to apprehend, was now looking in his direction. A faint smile could be seen on his lips.

He knew it! Cardo knew that after beating his subordinates to a pulp, this brat wouldn't let him off easily. He could tell that this brat would finally go in his direction soon and then beat him up to death. What a gruesome fate. If he could just log out, then he would have done so already. He would rather choose to run away than suffer at the hands of this brat.

But when Cardo thought that Vi was about to make a move against him, this brat suddenly turned around in the direction of the lake. Shortly after that, he charged towards the lake as a murderous aura could be felt exuding out of him. This brat... What in the world was he thinking?

Cardo couldn't understand the other party, but when he saw him reaching the shore of the lake, he leaped up high right away. But what happened next almost shocked him to death.

Boom!

Vi finally landed, but he landed in the groups of slimes. And as if a meteor that fell from the sky, he caused devastation, and waters sprang up above.

"Come at me, damned slimes! I will make sure to annihilate you all this day!" Vi, who had a grudge that couldn't be resolved against the slimes, roared furiously. He was already annoyed by the fact that he couldn't kill those people he had encountered earlier. So, with nowhere else to vent his frustration, he released them towards these slimes.

As if his savage entrance was not enough, Vi pulled his arm and then gathered the world's mana into his fist. This time, he didn't just rely on the bonus stats he received from the living members of the Red Sun guild, but he also added the world's mana to this attack he was about to unleash.

The turbulent energy gathering into Vi's fist caused big ripples in the water. The slimes in the area that were known for being aggressive when someone entered their territory almost died in sheer fear upon seeing Vi right now. They didn't need a mind to tell that a great danger was about to take their lives very soon.
